cancellation Splice: Easy Method

What is Splice

Overview

Splice is a subscription-based music-creation platform that provides access to a large library of samples, loops, presets and collaboration tools for producers and musicians.

The service is available via web, iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play), and offers multiple plans with credit-based downloads and instrument/preset access.

How Splice works

Subscribers receive monthly credits (depending on plan), which are redeemed for sounds and presets while the subscription is active.

Splice syncs with DAWs and cloud projects to enable collaboration and backup of projects and samples.

How to cancel Splice

Cancel on iOS (App Store)

  • Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tap your name, then tap Subscriptions.
  • Find Splice in the list and tap Cancel Subscription. Splice cannot cancel App Store subscriptions for you.
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or before the next billing date to avoid automatic renewal.

Cancel on Android (Google Play)

  • Open the Google Play Store app and tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • Select Splice and tap Cancel subscription. Splice cannot cancel Google Play subscriptions for you.
  • You keep access until the end of the current billing period after cancellation.

Cancel on Web (Splice site)

  • Log in at splice.com.
  • Go to your Plans page or Account → Manage Subscription and click "Cancel subscription".
  • The plan remains active until the end of the billing cycle; any remaining credits follow Splice's expiry rules.

What happens when you cancel

Access after cancellation

When you cancel a paid subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.

For App Store and Google Play cancellations you will not be billed again but continue to use your plan until it expires.

Credits and content

Credits require an active subscription to redeem. On web cancellations, remaining credits expire 28 days after cancellation unless you resubscribe within that window.

Downloaded or permanently licensed items you obtained while subscribed remain yours subject to Splice's licensing terms.

Account data

Your account and project data remain associated with your Splice account unless you request deletion through Splice support.

To remove personal data, follow instructions in Splice's terms or contact support via the official help pages.

Will I get a refund?

Web purchases (Splice site)

Valid charges on the web are generally non‑refundable except as specified by Splice policy.

  • Refund requests are accepted within 20 days for weekly/monthly plans and 60 days for yearly plans for the most recent charge.
  • Only the most recent eligible charge is refundable unless multiple charges fall within the refund window.

App Store & Google Play purchases

App Store purchases: request refunds through Apple - Splice cannot process App Store refunds.

Google Play purchases: if within 48 hours use Google's refund process; outside 48 hours submit a request to Splice via the contact form.

Money‑Back Guarantee & exceptions

  • If a money‑back guarantee was offered at checkout on the web, you may request a refund within 30 days of initial purchase (web only).
  • Renewals and App Store/Google Play purchases are excluded from web-only guarantees and follow marketplace refund policies.

Your consumer rights in United Arab Emirates

General UAE consumer protections

UAE consumers are protected by national consumer protection laws that require clear information on pricing, terms and cancellations.

For formal guidance or to raise a complaint you can contact the UAE government consumer protection resources for next steps.

How it applies to digital subscriptions

Digital subscription services should disclose renewal terms and cancellation steps clearly; retain any receipts and communication for disputes.

If you believe your rights under UAE law were breached, document your case and seek resolution through the relevant UAE consumer authority.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Many users praise Splice's large, high‑quality sample library, easy workflows and integration with DAWs.

Customer support is often described as responsive, with successful resolutions in cases like restoring lost credits.

Common complaints

Frequent negative reports include losing unused credits after cancellation if not resubscribed within 28 days.

Other issues raised by users are perceived "lock‑in" where content cannot be used without an active subscription, and occasional technical glitches or support delays.

Documentation checklist

Essentials to gather before contacting support

  • Account email and username used with Splice.
  • Transaction ID, receipt or invoice for the charge(s) in question.
  • Screenshots of subscription page, billing date and plan details.

Additional helpful items

  • App Store / Google Play order history screenshot if purchase was through a marketplace.
  • Dates of attempted cancellations and any confirmation messages or emails.

Common mistakes

Cancelling in the wrong place

Many users try to cancel on Splice’s website when the subscription was purchased through the App Store or Google Play; marketplaces must be used for those purchases.

Always check where the original charge originated (Apple, Google, or Splice web).

Timing and refunds

Failing to cancel at least 24 hours before trial end or the next billing date can cause an unexpected renewal charge.

Assuming automatic refunds after cancellation is a common error; refund eligibility depends on the purchase channel and Splice’s refund windows.
