Cancellation Dribbleup: Easy Method
What is Dribbleup
DribbleUp sells smart sports equipment (for example, smart basketballs and training gear) that pair with an app and a paid Membership to deliver live and on‑demand training content. The Membership unlocks training features for supported DribbleUp products and can be billed monthly or annually.
How to cancel Dribbleup
- Web (direct via DribbleUp): Sign in at account.dribbleup.com and cancel your Membership, or contact support at hello@dribbleup.com or use live chat. To avoid auto‑renewal you must request cancellation at least 24 hours before the end of your current subscription period. If you cancel on time, access continues until the period ends. If you send a physical cancellation notice, use certified mail (raccomandata A/R) to prove delivery and address it to the company (see Address section).
- Apple App Store / Google Play: If you purchased a Membership through the App Store or Google Play, cancel directly in your device settings or via the store. DribbleUp cannot process cancellations for subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google.
- Canadian statutory windows: Residents of British Columbia may cancel for any reason within 10 days of initial subscription by emailing hello@dribbleup.com. Ontario residents may cancel within 10 days after receiving written Terms or when Services are made available; upon such cancellation DribbleUp must refund payments within 15 days and return goods delivered under trade‑in arrangements.
What happens when you cancel
If you cancel a direct DribbleUp Membership in time, automatic renewal stops and you retain access to Membership features until the end of the paid period. After that date the Membership features are disabled for your account. Cancellation of an in‑app subscription (App Store or Google Play) must be handled through those platforms and takes effect according to their rules.
Your personal data and account records are retained and processed according to DribbleUp’s privacy policy; consult the privacy page on their website for retention and deletion options. Keep confirmation emails or screenshots as proof of cancellation.
Will I get a refund?
DribbleUp’s refund and returns framework is layered: there is a 30‑day money‑back guarantee that can cover both the Product and Membership if you cancel within 30 days of delivery and follow the required steps (typically cancel the Membership first and return the Product). For Product returns, DribbleUp accepts returns for any reason within 30 days of delivery when the item is in good condition (bundles must be returned complete); return shipping is generally covered and eligible returns receive a prepaid label.
Subscription refunds are limited: the initial subscription charge (monthly or annual) may be refundable only if you cancel within 30 days of product delivery, return the Smart Equipment within 14 days of cancellation, and you are a first‑time purchaser of Smart Equipment. Subsequent recurring charges are generally non‑refundable unless otherwise stated. Defective products are covered by a 45‑day warranty for defects in materials or workmanship; DribbleUp may replace the item or issue a refund at its option. If you purchased the subscription through Apple or Google, those stores control refunds for in‑app purchases.

Your consumer rights in Canada
British Columbia: you may cancel a Subscription for any reason within 10 days of the initial subscription by emailing hello@dribbleup.com. Ontario: you may cancel within 10 days after receiving written Terms or when Services are made available; DribbleUp must refund payments within 15 days and return any goods delivered under a trade‑in arrangement. These statutory rights are independent of DribbleUp’s posted policies and can provide additional remedies if exercised within the specified windows.
For other provinces, standard consumer protection laws against unfair practices still apply; if you believe statutory rights apply to your case, contact provincial consumer protection authorities and keep all documentary proof when you request a refund or cancellation.
Customer experiences
Many customers praise DribbleUp for product quality, training value, sturdiness, and positive benefits for skill development - customer service is often described as responsive and helpful via email or live chat. However, a number of users report difficulties cancelling subscriptions (including unexpected recurring charges), confusion when subscriptions are added at checkout, shipping or delivery delays, issues with payment methods like preloaded Visa gift cards, and occasional hardware or setup problems. A small portion of reviews report poor support and strong dissatisfaction; keeping clear documentation and following the specified cancellation channels reduces the risk of escalation.
Documentation checklist
- Order number and purchase date
- Email address linked to your DribbleUp account
- Screenshot or PDF of subscription receipt or billing transaction
- Date/time of cancellation request and any confirmation email or message
- Return shipping tracking number and prepaid label (if provided)
- Copies of correspondence with DribbleUp support (email/chat transcripts)
- Proof of certified mail delivery if you sent a written cancellation notice
- If purchased in‑app: screenshots of your Apple/Google subscription settings showing cancellation
Common mistakes
Typical errors include missing the 24‑hour cut‑off before the subscription renewal, assuming an in‑app cancellation was processed when it was not, failing to cancel the correct account or store subscription (App Store vs. Google Play vs. direct DribbleUp), not returning products within the required windows, and not keeping proof of cancellation or returns. For example, customers who close the app without confirming cancellation in their account or who cancel only through the website but paid through Apple may still be charged by the app store.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Direct (Web via DribbleUp) | Refunds possible per company policy (30‑day money‑back for product + membership, 30‑day product returns); subscription refunds limited and conditional. | Low - Medium if you follow online cancellation and return steps and keep documentation. |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Refunds and cancellations are handled by the store; DribbleUp cannot directly cancel these subscriptions. | Medium - High depending on the store’s refund policies and responsiveness. |
| Written / Certified mail to DribbleUp | Used primarily to prove statutory cancellations (e.g., BC/Ontario 10‑day windows); refund outcome depends on timing and policy compliance. | Low for proof‑of‑delivery (recommended when you need evidence); follow up with email/live chat. |
After cancelling
After you cancel, confirm the cancellation by checking your account page and saving any confirmation email or screenshot. If you are returning a Product, follow the return instructions from support, attach the prepaid label if provided, and retain tracking information. For in‑app purchases, verify cancellation in your Apple or Google account and request refunds through the store if needed. If issues persist, contact DribbleUp support at hello@dribbleup.com or use live chat on their website.
