Cancellation Trainmore: Easy Method
What is Trainmore
Trainmore is a fitness company that offers gym memberships, in-app content and scheduling for classes and personal training. Services are managed primarily through the TrainMore app and online support portal, with membership terms governed by TrainMore's Terms & Conditions.
How to cancel Trainmore
- Via the TrainMore app: open Studio > Self-Service > Contract Data and follow the cancellation flow. If you are out of contract a one-month notice period applies; if you are still in contract the cancellation becomes effective at your contract end date. You will receive a confirmation email. For cooling-off cancellations choose the reason "14-day cooling off period" in the app. See TrainMore support: How can I cancel via the app?
- Early cancellation: submit an early cancellation request with supporting documentation (medical letter, rental agreement or similar) for medical reasons or permanent relocation; a one-month notice applies and promotional benefits may need to be repaid. See: Early cancellation.
- Within the 14‑day cooling-off period: cancel in the app using the cooling-off reason; refunds depend on facility use (0 - 1 visits: no fee; 2 - 3 visits: day-pass rate; 4+ visits: flex membership fee). See: 14-day cooling-off period.
- Withdraw a cancellation: in the app go to Studio > Self-Service > Contract Data, select the cancelled membership and choose Withdraw Cancellation. See: Withdraw cancellation.
- Classes and PT: cancel class bookings in My Appointments at least 12 hours before start. Personal Training sessions with TrainMore-employed trainers require 24-hour cancellation via Appointments; late cancel or no-show may deduct credit. See: Cancel class booking and Cancel PT session.
- Personal Training membership module (add-on): cancel via the app under Contract Data by selecting the module, choosing an end date and providing a reason. See: Cancel PT module.
- If you prefer written notice, send a registered letter with return receipt to TrainMore's legal address (see Address section below) to ensure proof of submission.
What happens when you cancel
When cancellation is processed you will receive an email confirmation with the effective date. If you cancelled out of contract your membership will terminate after the one-month notice period; if you cancelled while still in contract the termination is effective on the contract end date. Recurring payments should stop after the effective termination date; access to classes, bookings and some app features may be limited from that date. Early cancellation may trigger contractual obligations such as repayment of promotional benefits.
Will I get a refund?
Refund entitlement depends on what you bought and when. For in-app content purchases TrainMore offers a 14-day cooling-off period if you have not started accessing the content; once content access begins the refund window reduces to 7 days from first access. Refunds are credited to the original payment method and processing can vary by platform (web vs mobile). For membership cancellations within the 14-day cooling-off period, refunds (or fees) are determined by facility use: 0 - 1 visits typically incur no fee, 2 - 3 visits are charged at a day-pass rate, and 4+ visits may be charged a flex membership fee. No refund is due after the 14‑day or 7‑day windows except in cases such as content being disabled for legal or policy reasons or fraud, and TrainMore reserves discretion to issue refunds outside these limits. Early cancellations for medical or relocation reasons may still involve repayment of promotional benefits per the contract.

Your consumer rights in Canada
Under Canadian consumer protection law many provinces provide a statutory cooling-off period for certain contracts; a common benchmark is a 10-day right for some online or door-to-door agreements. TrainMore's published 14-day refund/cooling-off policy exceeds typical federal minimums. Requiring documentation for early cancellation (for example medical proof) may be enforceable, but such clauses must comply with provincial rules on unfair contract terms and evidence requirements. TrainMore's Terms & Conditions include dispute-resolution provisions - such as mandatory arbitration and waivers of class actions - that can limit remedies; these clauses may be subject to scrutiny under Canadian consumer protection statutes. Review the Terms & Conditions for details: TrainMore Terms & Conditions.
Customer experiences
Public reviews are mixed. Positive feedback highlights friendly staff, clean facilities and an engaging fitness concept, with some customers praising helpful employees and prompt resolution of billing errors. Negative reviews commonly report slow or unresponsive customer service, difficulty cancelling, unexpected fees or overcharging, and problems with maintenance and equipment. Several reviewers also describe frustration when their cancellation attempts - including for legitimate reasons like moving - were disputed or delayed. For examples see independent reviews: Trustpilot.
Documentation checklist
- Copy of your membership contract or app confirmation (screenshot of Contract Data)
- Cancellation confirmation email or screenshots from the app
- Proof of identity (government ID) to match membership name
- Supporting documents for early cancellation (medical letter, relocation lease or rental agreement, utility/forwarding address)
- Records of charges (bank/credit card statements) and any disputed transactions
- Copies of messages or support tickets exchanged with TrainMore
- Registered-mail proof (tracking and return receipt) if you send a written cancellation
Common mistakes
Consumers often make avoidable errors that slow or prevent successful cancellation. Examples include selecting the wrong cancellation reason in the app (causing a different processing path), failing to allow or comply with the required notice period, not attaching supporting documents for early cancellation, or missing time windows for class and PT cancellations (12-hour class, 24-hour PT rules). Other common problems are relying on verbal confirmations without written proof, not keeping copies of confirmation emails or screenshots, and assuming refunds will be automatic - refunds depend on timing, use and TrainMore's stated policies.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Via TrainMore app (Contract Data) | Possible; depends on timing and contract status | Low - Medium |
| Early cancellation (medical/relocation) | No automatic refund; possible termination with obligations and repayment of benefits | Medium - High |
| Within 14-day cooling-off period | Refunds/fees based on number of visits (0 - 1 no fee; 2 - 3 day-pass; 4+ flex fee) | Low - Medium |
| Withdraw cancellation via app | Not applicable (reinstates membership) | Low |
| Registered mail to legal address | Depends on timing and contract terms; provides proof of delivery | Medium |
After cancelling
After you submit a cancellation, keep the confirmation email and any reference numbers. If you need help, contact TrainMore support articles and portals for the specific flows you used: general cancellation via app How can I cancel via the app?, early cancellation Early cancellation, and refund/terms Terms & Conditions.
