Cancellation Beatstars: Easy Method
What is Beatstars
BeatStars is an online marketplace and subscription platform for producers and creators to sell, license, and distribute beats, instrumentals, and related services. It offers seller subscriptions (Starter, Growth, Professional), buyer/creator subscriptions (BeatPass tiers), publishing and academy services, and purchase flows through the website and mobile app stores.
How to cancel Beatstars
- Web (direct via BeatStars site): Log into your BeatStars account → Account Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription, click “I want to cancel my subscription,” and confirm. You must cancel at least 3 business days before the next billing date to avoid automatic renewal. See How Do I Cancel My Paid Subscription?.
- BeatStars Academy membership: Cancel at any time via the subscription management page or by emailing support@beatstars.com. Cancellation after purchase generally forfeits the membership fee per the Academy terms; contact support for billing questions. See Academy Terms.
- Publishing service: Request cancellation by emailing support@beatstars.com. Cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current term; registration fees are non‑refundable. See the Publishing Services Agreement.
- iOS / Apple App Store purchases: If you bought a subscription through the Apple App Store, requests for refunds or cancellations initiated through Apple must follow Apple’s App Store process - BeatStars directs iOS refund requests to Apple.
- Google Play purchases: If purchased through Google Play, use Google Play’s account/subscription management to cancel or request a refund through Google’s process.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a paid BeatStars subscription, the account will not be charged again after the current billing period ends (provided cancellation met any required notice period). Access to subscriber-only features ends either immediately or at the end of the paid term depending on the service - check the confirmation you receive. Cancellation does not automatically delete your account or uploaded content; your profile, beats, and data typically remain unless you remove them or request account deletion. For academy or publishing services, access to member-only/content services ends per the terms and the applicable service’s effective date for cancellation.
Will I get a refund?
BeatStars’ stated policy is that subscription payments are non‑refundable. Cancelling does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid; users are instructed to cancel at least 3 business days before renewal to avoid being charged for the next period. BeatStars may, at its sole discretion, refund overcharges or internal errors if you contact support. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores’ refund policies and processes rather than BeatStars’ in‑house refund policy. See BeatStars Refund Policy and the Help Center article on subscription refunds.

Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumer protection laws vary by province. Some provinces provide short “cooling‑off” or distance‑contract rights that can apply to digital subscriptions, but digital content and services are often exempt. BeatStars’ published terms disclaim refunds for subscriptions, and that disclaimer may limit ordinary refund claims. If you believe a term is unfairly applied or not adequately disclosed, you may raise a complaint with your provincial consumer protection office, consult local legislation, or contact your credit card issuer to dispute a charge. For purchases made through Apple or Google, use the App Store or Google Play refund processes since those purchases are governed by the stores’ policies.
Customer experiences
Public reviews are mixed. Many users praise BeatStars’ customer support as fast, friendly, and helpful, with examples of same‑day assistance and clear licensing guidance that helps creators monetize (some reviewers specifically note licensing clarity). Conversely, some users report difficulty cancelling subscriptions, unexpected charges, bugs, or pricing concerns; complaints on forums also mention refund denials and warnings about in‑app messaging scams. These mixed reports suggest support responsiveness is generally strong but billing and cancellation outcomes can vary by case and purchasing channel.
Documentation checklist
- Account email/username, subscription plan name, and last billing date
- Receipt(s) or bank/credit card statement showing charge(s)
- Screenshots of the subscription page, cancellation confirmation, or error messages
- Any email correspondence or support ticket numbers from BeatStars
- If purchased via app store: Apple/Google purchase receipt and order ID
Common mistakes
Users commonly wait until too close to the renewal date and miss the required 3 business‑day cancellation window, resulting in an automatic renewal. Another frequent mistake is assuming cancellation guarantees a refund - BeatStars’ policy generally does not provide refunds for subscriptions. People also sometimes cancel the wrong account or forget that purchases via Apple/Google must be handled through those stores. Finally, responding to unsolicited in‑app DMs about promotions can lead to scams or confusion about billing - treat in‑app offers cautiously and verify through official support channels.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Web (BeatStars account → Subscription → Manage) | No (subscriptions are non‑refundable per BeatStars policy) | Low - Medium (steps are straightforward but some users report issues) |
| Apple App Store | Subject to Apple’s refund policy (contact Apple) | Medium (handled through Apple’s support/records) |
| Google Play | Subject to Google Play’s refund policy (contact Google) | Medium (handled through Google Play) |
| Email to BeatStars support (support@beatstars.com) | No (BeatStars generally does not refund subscriptions; exceptions for errors possible) | Medium (depends on response & case) |
| Registered mail to headquarters | No (formal notice of cancellation; refunds not guaranteed) | Medium - High (formal but slower; useful for disputes) |
After cancelling
After you cancel, save and archive your cancellation confirmation, receipts, and any support correspondence. Verify the next billing cycle to ensure no renewal charge is applied. If you were charged after cancelling, contact BeatStars support at support@beatstars.com and include your documentation. If the charge came from Apple or Google, submit a refund/dispute using your App Store or Google Play purchase history. For unresolved billing disputes, consider contacting your payment provider or your provincial consumer protection office.
