Cancellation Habio: Easy Method
What is Habio
Habio is a habit‑tracking mobile app that offers a free tier and paid premium subscriptions for extra features such as personalized reports and extended tracking tools. Subscriptions may be purchased through the App Store, Google Play, PayPal, or directly through Habio’s own site, and billing and refund rules depend on which channel you used to subscribe.
How to cancel Habio
- Apple App Store (iOS): Open iOS Settings → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → find “Habio - Simple Habit Tracker” → Cancel Subscription. Note: deleting the app does not stop billing. For more details see this guide.
- Google Play (Android): Open the Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → select “Habio - Simple Habit Tracker” → Cancel. See this guide for reference.
- PayPal (if used to pay): Log into PayPal → Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments → locate Habio / Apptember → Cancel the automatic payment. See steps.
- Habio website: Sign in at habio.app → Profile / Billing or Subscriptions → Click Cancel (if available).
- Email request: Send a cancellation request including your account email and subscription details to Habio support (examples: info@habio.net or habio.app@appdesk.zendesk.com; other reported addresses include habio.app@support-team.app).
- If your subscription does not appear in the App Store or Play Store subscriptions lists, follow the channel where you originally paid (check card/PayPal statements) and contact the provider or Habio support with transaction evidence. Community reports note subscriptions sometimes do not appear in standard menus; see Apple community thread.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a paid Habio subscription it normally stops renewal at the end of the current billing period; you typically retain access to premium features until that period ends. Cancellation does not automatically delete your Habio account or stored habit data - data usually remains in your account unless you request account deletion through the app or support. If you cancel via a payment provider (Apple, Google, PayPal), the provider controls the billing stop and any access tied to that provider’s subscription record.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds depend on how you paid. Habio does not control refunds processed through Apple - you must request those from Apple via your Apple purchase history. Google Play may consider refunds, particularly if requested within 48 hours of purchase. Habio’s own policy says technical issues can be reviewed case‑by‑case, but user reports indicate many refund requests are denied or unresolved and that support response can be slow. If you believe a charge is unauthorized, contact the payment provider (Apple, Google, PayPal) and your card issuer as well as Habio support and keep documentation of your requests.
Habio plans and pricing

| Estimated Monthly | CA$20.25 - CA$27.00 (approx.) | Monthly | Full access to Premium features |
| Estimated Yearly | CA$33.75 - CA$54.00 (approx.) | Yearly | Full access to Premium features |
Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumer protections vary depending on how a product is sold. For digital subscriptions, “cooling‑off” or change‑of‑mind rights often do not apply once access to the digital content has been provided. In many cases subscriptions and delivered digital content are exempt from standard 14‑day cancellation rules. Direct‑seller rules and some federal consumer measures can offer limited cancellation rights in certain written‑contract situations, but these do not automatically create a right to a refund for digital subscriptions like Habio. If you believe you were charged fraudulently, report the charge to your payment provider and consider filing a dispute with your card issuer or PayPal.
Customer experiences
User feedback is mixed. Some users praise Habio’s personalized reports and find the app useful for habit tracking. However, a number of users report unexpected or duplicate charges (for example, trial charges converting immediately to full price or multiple large charges), difficulty finding or cancelling subscriptions because billing may be processed outside the App Store/Play Store, and slow or unhelpful customer support. Several public reviews and community threads describe long delays or denials on refund requests and cases of continued charges after attempted cancellation.
Documentation checklist
- Account email and username used with Habio
- Date(s) of the charge(s) and the billed amount(s)
- Receipt or purchase confirmation (App Store/Google Play/PayPal or card statement entry)
- Screenshot(s) of subscription entries or absence of subscription in App Store/Play Store
- Copies of emails or support requests and their timestamps
- Bank or card statement entries showing the transaction (redact unrelated info)
Common mistakes
A frequent mistake is uninstalling the Habio app and assuming that stops billing - deleting the app does not cancel subscriptions. Another common error is trying to cancel in the app when the purchase was processed by a separate store or payment provider; always cancel through the provider where you originally paid (Apple, Google, PayPal, or the Habio website). People also sometimes wait past refund windows (for example, Google’s short refund window) or fail to save receipts and transaction IDs, which makes disputes harder to pursue. Finally, relying only on informal messaging or community threads instead of keeping formal written records can reduce the effectiveness of a refund or chargeback claim.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | Request via Apple purchase history; refunds at Apple’s discretion; Habio does not control these refunds (terms). | Moderate - cancel in iOS settings; deleting app won’t stop billing; some users report issues. |
| Google Play | Google may refund in some cases (often if requested quickly, e.g., within ~48 hours); final decision by Google. | Moderate - cancel via Play Store subscriptions menu; time‑sensitive for refunds. |
| PayPal | Refunds handled by PayPal/merchant; you can cancel automatic payments and open disputes through PayPal. | Moderate - cancel in PayPal settings; follow up with disputes if necessary. |
| Habio website / direct subscription | Refunds reviewed case‑by‑case; many users report denials or slow responses. | High - may require direct contact with Habio support and document submission; users report difficulty. |
| Email support | Handled by Habio; outcome varies and is not guaranteed. | High - response times and outcomes reported as inconsistent. |
After cancelling
After you cancel, check that the subscription shows as cancelled in the appropriate provider (Apple Subscriptions, Google Play Subscriptions, or PayPal automatic payments). Monitor your bank or card statements for any further charges for at least one billing cycle. If you are charged after cancellation or your cancellation does not appear to have taken effect, contact the payment provider first (Apple Support, Google Play Help, or PayPal Help) and open a dispute if necessary. Also send your documentation to Habio support and keep copies of all correspondence. Helpful official pages: Apple subscriptions support, Google Play subscriptions help, and PayPal automatic payments help; you can also review Habio’s terms at Habio terms and public community reports such as Trustpilot and the Apple discussion thread for examples from other users.
