Cancellation Nibble: Easy Method
What is Nibble
Nibble is a learning app that delivers short, bite-sized lessons designed for quick, frequent study sessions. It offers subscription plans with access to its full content library and auto-renewing billing through Apple, Google Play, or direct purchases on the Nibble website.
How to cancel Nibble
- App Store (iOS): Open your Apple ID / Subscriptions settings and turn off auto‑renewal for the Nibble subscription. Do this at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial or the current billing period to avoid further charges. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. See Nibble’s Subscription Terms.
- Google Play (Android): Manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play account subscriptions screen. Google Play follows its own refund and cancellation processes; manage subscriptions through your Google Play settings.
- Web (on Nibble’s site): Sign in at the Nibble website and use the “Cancel Subscription” button in your account, or contact support at support@nibble-app.com before the current period ends.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel auto‑renewal, you will typically retain access to Nibble’s paid features until the end of the current paid period or free trial; after that date the subscription will not renew. Turning off auto‑renewal stops future billing, but does not delete your account or necessarily erase stored progress or personal data. Deleting the app from your device does not stop billing. Check Nibble’s privacy policy for details on data retention and account deletion.
Will I get a refund?
Refund eligibility depends on where you purchased the subscription. App Store purchases: refunds (if any) must be requested from Apple via Apple’s support channels; Nibble states it may share account or usage information with Apple to assist. Purchases made directly on Nibble’s website are described in Nibble’s Terms as generally non‑refundable and non‑exchangeable except as required by applicable law. The Terms also describe an EU withdrawal right for EU consumers, but that EU‑specific right does not apply to Canadian consumers. In Canada, you may still have rights under provincial or federal consumer protection laws in certain circumstances (for example, where a service was misrepresented or defective), but automatic refunds are not guaranteed by Nibble’s stated policy.
Nibble plans and pricing
| Plan | Price | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly Subscription | US$24.99 (converted to CAD by App Store) | Monthly | Full access, auto‑renews monthly |
| 3‑Month Subscription | US$49.99 (converted to CAD by App Store) | 3 months | Full access, auto‑renews every 3 months |
| Annual Subscription (various tiers) | US$17.99 - US$119.99 (converted to CAD by App Store) | Annual | Full access, auto‑renews yearly |
Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumers do not receive the EU 14‑day digital withdrawal right by default; instead, consumer protection is governed by federal and provincial laws and regulations addressing unfair practices, false or misleading representations, and defective services. If you believe a subscription was misrepresented, you can raise the issue with Nibble support, your payment provider (bank/credit card issuer) for a charge dispute, or your provincial consumer protection office. Keeping records of offers, screenshots, receipts, and communications will support any complaint. This is general information and not legal advice.
Customer experiences
Reviews are mixed. Positive feedback commonly highlights Nibble’s engaging, well‑structured bite‑sized lessons and suitability for short learning sessions. Negative reports frequently cite unintended charges, difficulty cancelling (especially for website subscriptions), and challenges obtaining refunds. Several users reported needing to escalate via reviews or third‑party channels to secure refunds or cancellations.
Documentation checklist
- Receipt or order confirmation showing charge amount, date, and purchase platform (Apple, Google Play, or Nibble website).
- Account email or username used with Nibble.
- Screenshots of subscription pages, trial offers, cancellation attempts, and any in‑app or website messages.
- Transaction IDs or billing reference numbers from your bank, Apple, or Google Play.
- Copies of any email exchanges with support@nibble-app.com.
Common mistakes
Users commonly make these errors: deleting the app but not cancelling auto‑renew (so charges continue), trying to cancel the wrong platform (for example cancelling in the App Store when the subscription was bought on the web), and waiting until after the trial or billing period ends - sometimes too late to avoid the next charge. Another frequent problem is assuming website purchases are refundable when Nibble’s Terms state they are generally non‑refundable; always save receipts and cancellation confirmations.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| App Store (iOS) | Refunds must be requested from Apple; eligibility determined by Apple | Medium (use Apple support and account purchases screen) |
| Google Play (Android) | Refunds handled by Google Play; eligibility varies | Medium (use Google Play support and subscription settings) |
| Web (Nibble website) | Generally non‑refundable under Nibble’s Terms, except as required by law | High (refunds may be difficult; contact support at support@nibble-app.com) |
After cancelling
After you cancel, keep confirmation of the cancellation and watch your payment method for any unexpected charges. If you need a refund for an App Store purchase, request it through Apple’s refund process at Apple Support - request a refund. For Google Play purchases, see Google Play refund & cancellations. For website purchases, contact Nibble at support@nibble-app.com and refer to Nibble’s Subscription Terms and Terms of Use. If you cannot resolve the issue with Nibble, consider contacting your payment provider or your provincial consumer protection agency for next steps.
