Cancellation Tsheets: Simple Process
What is Tsheets
Tsheets (branded now as QuickBooks Time) is a cloud-based time-tracking and scheduling service that helps businesses record employee hours, manage timesheets, and run basic time reports. It provides mobile apps with GPS/geofencing, web access for administrators, and integrations with payroll and accounting products.
The product is available via QuickBooks Time (the Intuit-hosted service), as a legacy Timesheets.com offering for some customers, and as mobile-app purchases through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Cancellation and refund routes vary by how the subscription was purchased.
How to cancel Tsheets
- Web (QuickBooks Time / TSheets) in Canada: sign in as the primary account administrator, go to Profile → Billing and Subscription → select “Cancel” → then “Continue to cancel.” You will receive a confirmation email and your data will remain accessible for reactivation later.
- Web (Timesheets.com): only the primary account administrator may cancel; sign in as that admin and follow the account/billing or subscription options. Note the account remains active until the end of the prepaid billing period.
- App Store / Google Play purchases: cancellations and refund requests must be processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play - open the relevant store account and use that store’s subscription or purchase management tools.
- If you prefer written notice, you may send a cancellation request by registered mail (raccomandata A/R) addressed to Intuit Canada - Attn: Subscription Cancellation or Customer Services at the address below; keep proof of delivery.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a QuickBooks Time (TSheets) subscription through the web interface, you will receive a confirmation email and the account will be marked cancelled. For subscriptions prepaid for a period, access commonly remains until the end of the paid term; for some services the account may remain accessible for a grace or archival period so you can reactivate later.
For Timesheets.com accounts, cancellation by the primary administrator stops future billing but the account typically remains active until the end of the prepaid billing period. Purchases made via the App Store or Google Play remain under the control of the respective store and may continue until the store-managed subscription period ends.
Your time and account data are generally retained after cancellation to allow reactivation; however retention windows and export options vary, so export any critical records (reports, payroll snapshots, CSVs) before or immediately after cancelling if you need local copies.
Will I get a refund?
In Canada, Intuit’s general policy provides a 60-day money-back (satisfaction) guarantee for annual QuickBooks subscriptions and for desktop products; monthly QuickBooks Online subscriptions are typically non-refundable and will remain active until the end of the paid billing term after cancellation. Annual QuickBooks Time charges may be eligible for refund if they meet the guarantee conditions.
QuickBooks Online Accountant Pro Tax subscriptions have a separate 14-calendar-day refund window unless returns have already been e-filed or printed. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores’ refund policies and must be requested through the store.

Your consumer rights in Canada
Under Intuit’s published terms for Canada, annual subscriptions and desktop software purchases are covered by a 60-day money-back guarantee; monthly QuickBooks Online subscriptions are generally non-refundable and will remain active until the end of the current billing term on cancellation. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play fall under those stores’ terms for cancellations and refunds and must be handled through the store. Pro Tax subscriptions permit a refund request within 14 calendar days unless e-filings or printed returns have occurred. Always check the exact terms shown at purchase for any product-specific exceptions.
Customer experiences
Many Canadian users rate QuickBooks Time (TSheets) positively for ease of use, an intuitive interface, effective time-tracking, mobile convenience and GPS/geofencing features, and responsive customer support in many cases. However, other users report problems such as app lagging, freezing, syncing delays, difficulties with un-approving time, and occasional technical glitches. Some reviews on public sites also mention perceived declines in support quality and frustrations with pricing or cancellation experiences after Intuit’s acquisition.
Documentation checklist
- Account owner/admin email and login details
- Invoice or order number and date of the charge
- Last four digits of the payment card used (if applicable)
- Screenshot or copy of the billing/subscription page showing the charge
- Confirmation email(s) of your subscription and any cancellation acknowledgements
- If sending by mail: signed cancellation letter and proof of registered delivery (raccomandata A/R)
Common mistakes
Common mistakes include trying to cancel from a non-administrator account - only the primary admin can cancel some plans - and attempting to get a refund from Intuit for purchases that were made through the App Store or Google Play (those refunds must go through the store). Other errors are assuming an immediate refund when cancelling mid-period, not exporting payroll or time data before cancellation, and failing to save email confirmation or delivery receipts when sending written cancellation notices.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
| Web (QuickBooks Time / TSheets) in Canada | Annual subscriptions may be eligible under the 60-day money-back guarantee; monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable but remain active until the end of the billing term. | Low - self-serve via Profile → Billing and Subscription; admin access required. |
| Web (Timesheets.com) | No immediate refund is typically issued; account stays active until the end of the prepaid billing period. Refund eligibility depends on vendor terms. | Low to Moderate - only the primary account administrator can cancel. |
| App Store / Google Play | Refunds must be requested through the respective app store and are subject to that store’s rules and timelines. | Medium - you must follow the store’s refund process; outcome varies by store and case. |
After cancelling
After you cancel, keep the cancellation confirmation email and any proof of delivery if you sent written notice. If you need to request a refund or dispute a charge, gather the documentation listed above and contact Intuit/QuickBooks support for Canada or the App Store/Google Play support teams depending on how you purchased the subscription. For QuickBooks Time support and help articles use the vendor help pages and for store refunds use Apple or Google support.
