Cancellation Motogp: Easy Method
What is Motogp
Overview
MotoGP is the official digital subscription service for live and on-demand coverage of MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 races, plus archives and extras. It offers VideoPass subscriptions through motogp.com and in-app purchases on app stores, and in Canada fans can also access MotoGP coverage via third-party services such as TSN+, Sportsnet+ or the REV TV channel where available.
Service model
Subscriptions may be purchased directly via the MotoGP website (motogp.com) or through mobile app stores; auto-renewal is available for season and annual plans and access is tied to the active paid term.
How to cancel Motogp
- Web (motogp.com): Sign in to My Account → Subscriptions → Modify Renewal → Cancel Renewal. Auto-renewal can be canceled up to 24 hours before the renewal date; the subscription remains active until the end of the paid term.
- App Store / Google Play: Open your Apple ID or Google Play account subscriptions and cancel the MotoGP subscription there; app-store purchases must be managed in that store’s account settings.
- Email: Send a cancellation request to support@dorna.com. Include your account email, order/receipt number, purchase date and whether you want to stop auto-renewal or request a refund.
- Postal mail: Send a written cancellation to MotoGP Premier Office, 9335 Harris Corners Parkway, Suite 500, Charlotte, North Carolina 28269, USA. Include your account details and proof of purchase.
- Phone: If a phone contact is listed on your receipt or in your account pages, you may use that number to request cancellation; availability varies by region.
What happens when you cancel
Cancelling auto-renewal stops future billing but does not remove access immediately. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period you already paid for. If you cancel within an app store, management and future billing are handled by that store. MotoGP retains account data required for billing, access and customer service subject to its privacy policy.
Will I get a refund?
MotoGP offers a 14-calendar-day right of withdrawal for a full refund if you request it within 14 days of purchase and none of the digital content has been consumed (for example, you have not streamed races or used live timing). If you have accessed content or if more than 14 days have passed, refunds are generally not available, except in exceptional circumstances at Dorna’s discretion. For refund requests or questions, contact support@dorna.com and provide purchase details and supporting evidence.
MotoGP plans and pricing
| Plan | Price (CAD) | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| VideoPass - Full Season (via MotoGP app, monthly equivalent) | C$43/month (monthly equivalent) | Monthly equivalent | Live and on-demand coverage of MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3; archive access |
| VideoPass - Full Season (annual) | ≈ C$200/year | Annual | Live and on-demand coverage of MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3; archive access |
| VideoPass - Annual (via Google Play historical) | C$160 (historical report) | Annual | Same as above; reported lower price via Android app historically |
| TSN+ | C$8/month or C$80/year | Monthly/Annual | TSN streaming (includes MotoGP when available) |

Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumer protection for digital goods varies by province; there is no single federal “cooling-off” rule that universally guarantees a 14-day refund for digital content. MotoGP’s 14-day right of withdrawal for unused content aligns with common consumer expectations and with EU-style rules, but in Canada the exact statutory rights depend on provincial consumer-protection legislation and on the terms you agreed to at purchase. If you believe a provider has acted unfairly, you can contact your provincial consumer protection office or the Competition Bureau for guidance. For contract-specific disputes, retain receipts and correspondence and consider seeking advice from a consumer protection authority in your province.
Customer experiences
User feedback is mixed. Common complaints include app performance problems (slow streaming, low quality, delayed replays), navigation and UX issues (difficulty finding content, spoilers, removed features), and casting/AirPlay desynchronisation or smart TV instability. Some users report better pricing historically via the Android app and note that alternative Canadian streaming options (TSN+, Sportsnet+, REV TV) may be used instead of VideoPass.
Documentation checklist
- Account email and username
- Order confirmation or receipt (screen capture or PDF)
- Purchase date and payment method details
- Subscription renewal date (if applicable)
- Evidence of whether content was accessed (screenshots of playback history or lack thereof) when requesting a refund
- Any correspondence with support (emails, ticket numbers)
Common mistakes
Common errors include waiting until after the automatic renewal has already occurred (cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to stop a charge), trying to cancel a store purchase on the MotoGP website instead of via the App Store/Google Play (app-store subscriptions must be managed in the store), assuming a refund is available after streaming content, and not keeping purchase receipts or screenshots when requesting a refund or dispute. Also, contacting the wrong support channel can delay processing - use support@dorna.com for MotoGP-specific issues and the app store for store-managed subscriptions.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Web (motogp.com account) | Possible full refund within 14 days if no content consumed; otherwise no (exceptions at Dorna discretion) | Easy - self-service via My Account |
| App Store / Google Play | Refunds handled by Apple/Google policies; Dorna directs users to the store for refunds | Moderate - must use the respective app store interface/support |
| Email to support@dorna.com | Used to request refunds or cancellations; same 14-day unused-content rule applies; exceptions handled by Dorna | Easy - you must provide account and purchase details |
| Postal mail | Serves as formal cancellation notice; refunds follow policy and may require additional steps | Harder - slower, proof of posting recommended |
| Phone (if provided) | Can request cancellation; refunds follow normal policy and may require follow-up in writing | Variable - depends on availability and wait times |
After cancelling
After you cancel, keep a copy of confirmation (email or screenshot) that shows auto-renewal has been turned off. Your access will continue until the paid term ends. For refunds or disputes, email support@dorna.com with your documentation. For app-store purchases, follow Apple's or Google Play’s refund and subscription support pages linked below. For account management or to start the cancellation flow, visit the MotoGP site.
