Cancellation Neteller: Easy Method
What is Neteller
Overview
Neteller is an online e‑wallet and payment service that lets users send and receive money, make online purchases, and move funds to and from bank accounts or cards.
It is commonly used for e‑commerce, gaming and international transfers and is operated by Paysafe Financial Services Limited.
Primary uses
Consumers use Neteller to store multi‑currency balances, pay merchants, withdraw to bank accounts or cards, and send money to other Neteller members.
Net+ prepaid cards (Net+ Mastercard) may also be linked to the account for in‑store or online payments.
How to cancel Neteller
Cancel via Web / Customer Contact Centre
- Notify Neteller’s Customer Contact Centre that you wish to close your account.
- If you have a balance, withdraw it within a reasonable period when asked; you may request remaining funds after that too.
- Accounts with zero balance can be closed with no fee; small inactive balances may incur inactivity fees after six months.
Cancel Net+ Mastercard and app subscriptions
- Cancel Net+ Mastercard in your account's Net+ Card section; there is no card cancellation fee and remaining funds stay in your Neteller wallet.
- If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, cancel the subscription in the relevant platform subscription settings - Neteller cannot cancel App Store/Google Play subscriptions for you.
What happens when you cancel
Access and functionality
After you request account closure, you will lose the ability to log in and use Neteller once the closure is processed.
Any linked Net+ cards will be cancelled if you explicitly cancel them through the Net+ section or as part of account closure.
Data, retention and re‑opening
Neteller retains account and transaction records as required by law and their policies; you may be able to re‑open or create a new account subject to verification.
If refunds or chargebacks arrive after closure, they are typically credited to your primary Neteller balance or handled per Neteller’s refund rules.
Will I get a refund?
Deposits and chargebacks
- Refunds for deposits are assessed case‑by‑case depending on payment method and account status.
- Card deposits can sometimes be reversed via a chargeback; card refunds may take up to 7 days to appear.
- Bank deposit reversals depend on bank processing and on whether auto‑return conditions applied (for example, missing customer ID).
Withdrawals, transfers and exceptions
- If a withdrawal is returned by the recipient bank, Neteller will credit the amount back to your wallet; bank or exchange fees may still apply.
- Crypto withdrawals are non‑refundable once processed.
- Money Transfers between Neteller members are final once processed and cannot be refunded unless still pending (then cancellable in Transactions).
- International money transfers are non‑refundable once processed; if undeliverable, Neteller will attempt to refund the original method up to three times before crediting your wallet.
- Refunds for Net+ Mastercard purchases must be handled by the merchant; any merchant credit usually posts to your Neteller balance even if the account or card was later closed.

Your consumer rights in India
Withdrawal and dispute rights
Under Indian consumer protection and e‑money regulations, you have a right to withdraw your funds and to clear, transparent customer service responses.
For unauthorized card transactions you can pursue chargebacks through your card issuer; keep records and timelines for any dispute.
Escalation and remedies
If Neteller withholds funds or is unresponsive, escalate using India’s consumer grievance mechanisms such as the National Consumer Helpline or consumer courts.
For subscription billing through app stores, follow Apple/Google cancellation and refund procedures as those platforms control billing for in‑app subscriptions.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
- Some users report fast withdrawals to cards, a user‑friendly interface and low fees in certain flows.
- There are a number of positive reviews noted in aggregated metrics praising specific transactions and features.
Negative feedback
- Frequent complaints include frozen or restricted accounts sometimes without clear explanations.
- Users report slow or poor customer support, verification problems, and funds being held for long periods in some cases.
Documentation checklist
For closure and withdrawals
- Valid government‑issued photo ID (passport, Aadhaar/driver’s licence as applicable).
- Proof of address (utility bill, bank statement) dated within the last 3 months.
- Bank account or card details for withdrawals (account number, IFSC where required).
For disputes and refunds
- Transaction ID, dates and screenshots of the transaction or merchant communication.
- Any correspondence with Neteller support and timelines of attempted resolution.
Common mistakes
Failing to withdraw balance before closure
Waiting until after closure to retrieve funds can delay access; follow Neteller’s instructions to withdraw when asked.
Small balances left idle may be subject to inactivity fees after six months.
Relying on Neteller for app store cancellations
Many users expect Neteller to cancel Apple or Google subscriptions, but platform‑level subscriptions must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.
Attempting to reverse a platform subscription through Neteller will usually be unsuccessful; instead follow the app store refund process.
