Cancellation World Gym: Step-by-Step Guide

What is World Gym

Overview

World Gym is an international fitness franchise that operates commercial gyms, group classes, and personal training services. In India, World Gym locations are run by local franchise owners and may vary by club.

How franchises differ

Facilities, class schedules, membership plans, and cancellation processes are typically set by each franchise. This guide focuses on general steps and known pricing for a specific World Gym location in Saket, New Delhi.

How to cancel World Gym

Before you start

Check your original membership contract and any written terms given at sign-up. Contracts commonly state notice periods, required forms, and whether cancellations must be in writing.

Step-by-step cancellation (recommended)

• Locate your membership contract and note the notice period and termination clause.
• Contact your local World Gym franchise (phone or visit) to ask for the official cancellation process.
• Prepare a written cancellation request including name, membership ID, start date, and desired termination date.
• Deliver the cancellation request as required (in-person with receipt, registered post, or email) and retain proof of delivery.
• Confirm the date when access will end and whether recurring payments will stop immediately or after the notice period.
• Follow up with your bank or card issuer to stop future auto-debits if the gym does not confirm cancellation.

What happens when you cancel

Access and membership end

Typically, access continues until the contract’s stated termination date or the end of any required notice period. Exact access rules depend on your local franchise contract.

Account and data handling

Franchises may retain your membership record for administrative or legal reasons. Ask the club how they store and remove personal data when you cancel.
