• Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad and tap your Apple ID.

• Postal cancellation provides formal proof; consider sending by tracked/registered post.
• See an example letter and guidance here: Sample cancellation letter.

What happens when you cancel

Access after cancellation

For web subscriptions, you generally retain access until the paid period ends.

For App Store and Google Play purchases, access terms follow the platform’s subscription rules.

Renewal and billing

Cancellations stop future auto-renewals but do not necessarily trigger a refund automatically.

Ensure cancellation is completed before the renewal cutoff to prevent an additional charge.

Data retention

Your account data may be retained according to Cv Wizard’s data policies and terms of service.

Export any important documents before cancelling if you need local copies.

Will I get a refund?

Web purchases and EU/Netherlands cooling-off

If you purchased on the web and you are covered by EU/Netherlands rules, you have a 14-day statutory right of dissolution.

When validly invoked within 14 days, Cv Wizard must refund within 14 days after termination; see terms: Cv Wizard Terms.

Web purchases after the cooling-off period

• According to Cv Wizard’s Terms, prepaid amounts are generally non-refundable after the cooling-off period.
• Exceptions may apply depending on jurisdiction or specific contractual promises.

App Store and Google Play purchases

• Refunds for purchases through Apple or Google are handled by those platforms and are subject to their policies.
• Cv Wizard cannot directly change charges made through App Store or Google Play.

These rights can include refunds, dispute resolution, and compensation for misleading or unauthorized charges.

How to enforce rights

If unresolved, you may escalate to consumer grievance mechanisms, ombudsmen, or consumer courts in India.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Many users praise Cv Wizard’s user-friendly interface, helpful guidance, and easy CV creation workflow.

Users also appreciate LinkedIn import and template customization; see user reviews here: Trustpilot reviews.

Negative feedback

Common complaints include unexpected or recurring charges and difficulty obtaining refunds after cancellation.

Several users report billing issues and problems stopping auto-renewal; examples of complaints are documented here: User complaints.

Documentation checklist

What to collect

• Account and subscription screenshots (settings, cancellation confirmation).
• Payment receipts or bank statements showing charges.
• Email confirmations and any correspondence with Cv Wizard support.
• Postal proof (tracking/registered mail receipt) if you send a cancellation letter.

Why each item matters

• Screenshots prove you cancelled before renewal and show on-screen options.
• Bank statements demonstrate actual charges and dates for disputes.
• Postal receipts provide legal proof of sending a termination notice.

Common mistakes

Timing mistakes

Waiting until the day of renewal to cancel can result in an unavoidable charge if timing misses the platform cutoff.

Always cancel at least 24 hours before the period end for App Store subscriptions.

Proof and assumptions

Assuming a cancellation without saving confirmation is risky; many disputes fail due to lack of evidence.

Also, assuming Cv Wizard can refund App Store/Play charges is incorrect; platform refunds are controlled by Apple/Google.
