Cancellation Picmonkey: Easy Method
What is Picmonkey
Overview
PicMonkey is a subscription-based photo editing and graphic design web app for creating visuals using templates, images, and editing tools. It offers features such as templates, background removal, cloud storage, and export options.
Who uses it
Individuals, small businesses and social media creators commonly use PicMonkey for quick design tasks, touch-ups and social sharing assets. Plans vary by storage and advanced features such as brand kits and priority support.
How to cancel Picmonkey
Cancel on the web (recommended)
- Sign in at PicMonkey.com.
- Go to Manage Your Account → Billing, click “Cancel subscription” and confirm the cancellation.
- If the cancel option disappears and you only see “Renew subscription”, that indicates cancellation is confirmed and you will not be charged again.
Cancel via mobile app stores
- iOS (App Store): Open Settings → iTunes & App Store → Apple ID → View Apple ID, select PicMonkey and cancel the subscription through Apple.
- Android (Google Play): Open Play Store → Subscriptions (or Play Store Settings → Membership) → select PicMonkey → Cancel.
- Note: PicMonkey cannot cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google - you must cancel in those stores.
What happens when you cancel
Access after cancellation
After cancelling a paid subscription you typically retain access until the end of the paid billing period. Features tied to your plan (storage, Pro tools) will stop once the period ends.
Billing and auto-renewal
Cancellation prevents future auto-renewal charges. If you see a “Renew subscription” option instead of “Cancel,” that usually means the subscription is already cancelled and will not renew.
Will I get a refund?
Cooling-off / initial purchase refunds
- Non-U.S. residents (including Singapore): PicMonkey’s Terms of Service provides a 14-day cooling-off period from purchase or until you start using the service. If you cancel within that window and haven’t used the service, you are entitled to a full refund to the original payment method.
- Additionally, the Picmonic Help Center (site-specific policy) states web purchases are 100% refundable if requested within 7 days of purchase.
After the cooling-off period and app purchases
- After the cooling-off period there are no refunds for partial months or years; subscription fees are considered fully earned once paid.
- Subscriptions purchased via Apple App Store or Google Play must be refunded through those platforms; PicMonkey/Picmonic cannot process those refunds.
- For auto-renewing plans you must cancel at least 1 day before renewal to avoid being charged; no refund is issued after renewal is processed.

Your consumer rights in Singapore
Cooling-off rights under PicMonkey ToS
PicMonkey’s Terms of Use give non-U.S. residents (including Singapore) a 14-day cooling-off right from purchase or until you start using the service. Cancel within that period for a full refund, if unused.
App store purchases and Singapore law
If you bought via iOS or Android apps, refunds must be requested through Apple or Google Play; PicMonkey cannot issue those refunds directly.
Check App Store / Google Play refund procedures and keep purchase receipts when disputing charges with your payment provider if needed.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
- Users praise PicMonkey for ease of use, templates, drag-and-drop, cloud storage and social sharing features.
- Some reviewers report helpful customer care and quick refunds for billing issues in individual cases.
Common complaints
- Many reviewers cite billing surprises, auto-renew problems and difficulty cancelling via trial-to-paid conversions.
- Other complaints mention slow or limited human support and strict refund enforcement after stated grace periods.
Documentation checklist
What to prepare before contacting support
- Account email address used for PicMonkey/Picmonic.
- Order number or transaction ID and date of purchase.
- Screenshots of billing, subscription page, or cancellation confirmation.
- Clear statement of requested action (cancel subscription, request refund) and reason.
Where to submit documentation
- For web purchases: use PicMonkey account billing settings and support channels linked from your account.
- For app purchases: raise refund requests via Apple or Google Play and attach screenshots as required by those stores.
Common mistakes
Failing to cancel in the right place
Example: You cancel on the PicMonkey website but originally subscribed through the App Store. That will not stop App Store renewals. Always cancel in the storefront where you purchased.
Missing renewal deadlines and confirmations
Example: Not cancelling at least 1 day before auto-renewal results in an immediate charge and typically no refund. Always keep a confirmation screenshot or email after cancelling.
