Important warning regarding service limitations

Postclic is an independent third-party service, with no affiliation, partnership, or representation link with the brand Xero. The use of the brand name is strictly for reference and descriptive purposes, in order to identify the mail recipient. Postclic exclusively offers a mail drafting assistance service and a certified, timestamped, and tracked digital mail sending service. If your subscription was purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the cancellation must be done directly with those platforms.

In the interest of transparency and prevention, it is essential to recall the inherent limitations of any dematerialized sending service, even when timestamped, tracked and certified. Guarantees relate to sending and technical proof, but never to the recipient's behavior, diligence or decisions.

Please note, Postclic cannot:

  • guarantee that the recipient receives, opens or becomes aware of your e-mail.
  • guarantee that the recipient processes, accepts or executes your request.
  • guarantee the accuracy or completeness of content written by the user.
  • guarantee the validity of an incorrect or outdated address.
  • prevent the recipient from contesting the legal scope of the mail.

Cancellation Xero: Easy Method

What is Xero

Overview

Xero is a cloud-based accounting software for small and medium businesses in Singapore. It provides invoicing, bank reconciliation, reporting, and integrations to manage day-to-day finances.

Key capabilities

Xero includes features such as invoice and bill management, bank feeds, real-time reports and add-on integrations. Pricing tiers offer different feature sets depending on business needs.

How to cancel Xero

Primary cancellation route

Cancel Xero via the web portal: sign in to My Xero and go to Subscriptions & Billing to submit a cancellation. A one-month notice period applies.

Other cancellation scenarios

  • If you purchased through a local reseller or partner, contact that reseller directly to cancel - Xero will not process reseller-managed subscriptions for you.
  • Do not rely on cancelling via the App Store or Google Play; those actions will not stop Xero billing from Xero’s web portal.

What happens when you cancel

Notice period and billing

When you cancel in My Xero you must give a one-month notice. You remain active and are liable for charges during that notice period.

Access and data

After the notice period ends your Xero access will stop according to Xero’s account procedures. Export or back up any data you need before the end of access to avoid loss of working copies.

Will I get a refund?

Standard refund policy

Xero generally does not provide refunds on cancellation under its standard terms. There is no automatic 14-day cooling-off refund right in Xero’s Singapore terms.

Exceptions and how to request

  • Limited refunds may be granted for billing errors or for significant system downtime (for example, downtime that exceeds four continuous hours).
  • Such exceptions typically require a written request submitted promptly (Postclic notes requests are often required within 21 days of the incident).

Your consumer rights in Singapore

Contract and cooling-off

Xero’s Singapore terms do not include a statutory 14-day cooling-off refund. Users should plan cancellations ahead and manage billing cycles carefully.

Practical rights and actions

  • Cancel via My Xero and observe the one-month notice to avoid unintended charges.
  • If you believe there is a billing error or significant downtime, file a written request promptly to seek any possible remedial action.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Many reviewers praise Xero for ease of use, intuitive interface, strong reconciliation and reporting features, and helpful customer service in routine cases.

Negative feedback

  • Some users report difficulties after updates, removed features (e.g., payroll changes), or unexpected price changes.
  • Forum reports include issues with cancellations that continued billing, locked accounts during disputes, and slower support for complex cases.

Documentation checklist

Before you cancel

  • Account owner login credentials (to access My Xero > Subscriptions & Billing).
  • Proof of purchase or reseller contact info if subscription was bought through a partner.

If you need a refund or dispute billing

  • Dates and screenshots showing downtime or billing errors.
  • Written request or formal complaint details and any supporting invoices or bank statements.

Common mistakes

Cancelling in the wrong place

Many users try to cancel through the App Store or Google Play; those actions will not stop billing from Xero’s web portal and can lead to unexpected charges.

Missing the notice period

Failing to allow for the one-month notice or not cancelling the correct subscription (for reseller-managed accounts) can result in additional monthly charges.

Comparative recap

Quick comparison

The table below summarises cancellation methods, billing effects and recommended actions to avoid problems.

Cancel via App Store / Google Play Does NOT stop Xero billing from Xero’s web portal Do not rely on this to stop Xero charges
Cancel via Reseller / Partner Reseller-managed subscriptions must be cancelled by the reseller Contact your reseller directly if they handled the purchase

After cancelling

What to do immediately

  • Export your accounting data (reports, invoices, contacts) before access ends.
  • Confirm cancellation in My Xero and keep a screenshot or confirmation email.
