Cancellation Classdojo: Easy Method
What is Classdojo
ClassDojo is an educational communication platform connecting teachers, students and families. It offers classroom management tools, messaging, learning resources and optional premium features such as Dojo Sparks / ClassDojo Plus that add enhanced reports, memories, homework helpers and extra content.
How to cancel Classdojo
- Via Web / Stripe (direct subscriptions): Open the ClassDojo app or website → Account Settings → Dojo Sparks (or ClassDojo Plus) → Manage/Cancel subscription → Manage subscription → Cancel plan. A confirmation will show the cancellation date. See ClassDojo help.
- Via Apple App Store: From the ClassDojo app → Account Settings → Dojo Sparks/ClassDojo Plus → Manage/Cancel subscription → you will be directed to Apple Subscriptions → tap ClassDojo or Dojo Sparks → Cancel Subscription → Confirm. For refunds, Apple handles App Store purchases; see ClassDojo help.
- Via Google Play (Android): On your Android device open Google Play → Subscriptions → select Dojo Sparks/ClassDojo Plus → Cancel subscription and follow the prompts. See ClassDojo help.
- Important: Deleting the ClassDojo app or your parent account does NOT cancel an active subscription; you must complete the provider-specific cancellation flow (Stripe/Apple/Google Play). See ClassDojo help.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a paid subscription, renewal will stop and you will retain access to paid features until the end of the paid billing period shown on the cancellation confirmation. After that date, your account will revert to the free/basic features and you will no longer be billed. ClassDojo retains account and content data in line with its privacy and data-retention policies; cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your ClassDojo account or classroom content unless you take separate deletion steps through account settings.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds depend on how you purchased the subscription. If you subscribed on the web (Stripe), you may request a refund through ClassDojo’s support form and ClassDojo can issue refunds directly. If you purchased through the Apple App Store, refunds must be requested from Apple and ClassDojo cannot process those. For Google Play purchases, ClassDojo may assist and you can request a refund via ClassDojo support, though Google’s policies also apply. Virtual currency purchases are generally final and non-refundable except as required by law and any refund would be handled by the payment processor. ClassDojo’s documentation does not state an explicit statutory 14‑day right; refund availability can vary by provider and ClassDojo’s discretion. For details see ClassDojo refund help and the virtual currency terms at ClassDojo virtual currency terms.

Your consumer rights in Canada
Under Canadian consumer protection frameworks, purchasers of digital goods and services may have statutory rights that can include refunds or cancellations within a reasonable period depending on provincial law and the nature of the purchase. ClassDojo’s public documentation directs users to payment providers (Stripe, Apple, Google Play) for cancellations and many refunds, so enforcement or remedy may be administered by the platform or payment processor rather than ClassDojo directly. Virtual currency purchases are described as final except where law requires otherwise, in which case your recourse may be through the payment processor or applicable Canadian digital consumer-protection rules. For physical shop items, defective goods have a return window consistent with the seller’s return policy.
Customer experiences
Reviews show a mix of positive and negative experiences. Many teachers and parents praise ClassDojo for engagement and classroom benefits, noting it is kid-friendly and useful for communication and learning support. Negative reports on public review sites describe billing confusion (unexpected charges), frustration with refund routes for App Store purchases, and complaints about frequent paid prompts or notifications. These recurring themes are billing channel confusion and expectations about who handles refunds and cancellations.
Documentation checklist
- Subscription receipt or order confirmation (email or in-app).
- Screenshot of your subscription page in Account Settings showing plan and provider.
- Confirmation of cancellation screen or email (if available).
- Proof of any charge (bank/card statement) and dates for disputed transactions.
- Copies of communications with ClassDojo or the app store / Google Play support.
Common mistakes
A frequent mistake is assuming deleting the ClassDojo app stops billing - it does not; subscriptions must be cancelled through the provider (Stripe, Apple, Google Play). Another common error is contacting ClassDojo for refunds when the purchase was made through the Apple App Store; Apple must process those refunds. Users sometimes miss the confirmation date and expect immediate loss of access instead of access until the paid period ends. Finally, not saving receipts, screenshots or confirmation emails can make disputes or refund requests harder to resolve.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Web / Stripe | Refunds may be requested via ClassDojo support; ClassDojo can issue refunds | Easy - Moderate (contact support) |
| Apple App Store | Refunds handled by Apple; ClassDojo cannot process | Moderate (request via Apple) |
| Google Play | May request via ClassDojo support; Google policies apply | Moderate (follow Google Play prompts or contact support) |
| Virtual currency / in‑app purchases | Generally final; refunds only as required by law and via payment processor | Often Difficult / Limited |
