Cancellation Bounce: Easy Method
What is Bounce
Bounce is a on-demand luggage storage and package-receiving service that connects travellers and local customers with partner locations (shops, hotels, and staffed storage points) where you can drop off and collect items for short-term storage. It also offers subscription options for package receiving and recurring storage services with specific terms and protections such as up to $10,000 bag protection at participating locations.
How to cancel Bounce
- Reservations (single luggage storage bookings): open the Bounce app or website, find the reservation, and use the cancellation option. Cancellations made more than 1 hour before the scheduled drop-off are eligible for a full refund to your original payment method or as Bounce credits; cancellations within 1 hour before drop-off are eligible for a refund only in Bounce credits; cancellations after the drop-off time receive no refund. No cancellation fees apply.
- Package-receiving subscription: cancel via the Bounce website or the app by going to the Addresses tab and cancelling before the monthly renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Recurring luggage-storage subscriptions: you may cancel at any time via your account settings or by emailing support, but any subscription fee already paid for the current billing period is non-refundable.
- If you prefer postal notice or need a formal cancellation request, send registered mail (raccomandata A/R) to Bounce’s Canadian office at the address in the “Address” section below.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a reservation, the booking is removed from your app/account and the partner location is notified. If the cancellation takes effect before a refund window cutoff, the refund process begins (see next section). For subscriptions, cancelling prevents future renewals but does not retroactively refund fees already billed for the period they cover. Bounce retains basic booking and account records to process refunds, disputes, and customer support requests in accordance with its terms.
Will I get a refund?
Refunds depend on timing and the product. For on-demand reservations: cancellations made more than 1 hour before your scheduled drop-off are eligible for a full refund either to your original payment method or as Bounce credits; cancellations made within 1 hour before drop-off are refunded only as Bounce credits; cancellations after the scheduled drop-off time receive no refund. There are no cancellation fees. Bounce credits can be used at partner locations and typically expire after 12 months. For recurring subscriptions, any subscription fee already paid for the current billing period is non-refundable, though cancelling will stop future charges. Processing times and exact refund routing depend on your payment provider and Bounce’s refund process.
Bounce plans and pricing
| Plan | Price | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|

| Regular (carry-on suitcase, backpack, trolley) | C$4.75/day | Per 24 hours | Storage for regular luggage, up to $10,000 bag protection, free cancellation |

Your consumer rights in Canada
There is no automatic statutory 14-day cancellation right for Bounce’s on-demand storage services under the company’s published policies. Bounce’s own terms govern refunds and cancellations: timing relative to drop-off determines eligibility, and subscription fees already paid for a billing period are non-refundable. Canadian consumer protection laws (such as those that apply to unfair practices or misleading representations) may still apply in specific disputes, but Bounce’s published cancellation and refund rules are the primary contractual terms for everyday bookings and subscriptions.
Customer experiences
Customer reports are mixed. Some users describe smooth, easy experiences where packages and bags were delivered to and picked up from Bounce locations without issue. Other users have reported serious problems, including lost or stolen bags, difficulties obtaining refunds, and unsatisfactory support or insurance outcomes; there are also reports of bookings disappearing from the app or lack of confirmation in isolated cases. As with many marketplace services, outcomes appear to vary by location and partner partner quality.
Documentation checklist
- Booking confirmation / reservation ID (screenshot or email)
- Payment receipt showing method and transaction ID
- Timestamped evidence of cancellation attempt (screenshots of the app or website, cancellation confirmation)
- Photos of items and any condition notes if you’re disputing loss or damage
- For postal cancellation: registered-mail receipt (proof of sending) and a copy of the mailed letter
Common mistakes
Many problems arise from timing misunderstandings: cancelling within one hour of drop-off expecting a card refund will often result only in Bounce credits or no refund if after drop-off. Another frequent issue is assuming subscription fees are refundable - fees already paid for the active subscription period are non-refundable. Not keeping confirmation screenshots, failing to record the exact cancellation time, or relying solely on automated chat responses without saved transcripts can make disputes harder to resolve. If you need to rely on postal cancellation, failing to use registered mail (with proof) removes an important record.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Reservation - cancel >1 hour before drop-off (app/website) | Full refund to original payment method or Bounce credits | Easy |
| Reservation - cancel within 1 hour before drop-off (app/website) | Refund only as Bounce credits | Easy |
| Reservation - cancel after scheduled drop-off | No refund | Not applicable |
| Recurring subscription - cancel via account/app before next renewal | No refund for fees already paid; prevents future charges | Easy |
| Subscription cancellation by registered mail or support email | Same refund policy (paid period non-refundable); longer processing time possible | Medium |
After cancelling
Keep all records: screenshots of cancellation confirmations, receipts, and any communication with Bounce support. If you need more information or to start a refund or dispute, relevant help articles include Bounce’s cancellation guide, refund processing page, and subscription cancellation instructions. See Bounce’s help center pages: How to cancel a reservation, How refunds are processed, and How to cancel your package-receiving subscription. If you prefer mailed notice or require a formal cancellation record, send registered mail to the Canadian office and keep the postal receipt as proof.
