Cancellation service #1 in Canada
Ketogo is a subscription-based digital service that provides ketogenic meal plans, shopping lists, in-app coaching features and optional add-on services such as Premium content, Nutritionist Chat and Home Workouts. It is delivered via the Ketogo web app and via mobile app stores; billing and cancellations can be handled either through Ketogo’s website or through the platform where you purchased (Apple App Store or Google Play).
When you cancel via the Ketogo web app you should receive an on-screen confirmation banner; keep a screenshot as proof. Add-on services are handled separately and must be cancelled individually. If you purchased through Apple or Google, those platforms control future billing and access - cancellation there will stop future renewals via that store. If a refund is granted (see refund policy), Ketogo states access to the related services will be terminated after the refund is issued.
Ketogo’s documented policy limits refunds. There is a withdrawal (cooling-off) period for purchases depending on location: 14 days for EU consumers and 5 days for non-EU consumers from the date the contract is concluded. Recurring payments are noted as non-refundable. Refunds are only possible if the digital content is faulty or not as described; you will be asked to provide visual proof when submitting a request, and access will be terminated if a refund is granted. If your subscription was purchased through Apple or Google, refunds and cancellations must be handled through those platforms and Ketogo’s refund policy may not apply.
Reported pricing examples from users and public reports (currencies shown as reported). No definitive Canadian (CAD) pricing was found; users have reported charges in EUR, USD or other currencies which has caused confusion.
| Plan | Price | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reported example - 6‑Month Plan | €36 per month (user reported) | Monthly (user‑stated) | Meal plan; confusion over whether price is monthly or for 6 months total |
| Reported example - Trial → Premium | €7 trial → €20.95 and €24.95 premium charges (user reported) | One‑time / ambiguous | Trial price then reported upsell to premium |
Canada does not provide a uniform federal “cooling-off” period for digital subscriptions; provincial consumer protection laws vary. Your rights to a refund or cancellation will depend on where you live, how you paid, and whether the product is defective or misdescribed. If you paid via Apple or Google, those platforms have their own refund and cancellation processes and you should start with them. If you believe you were charged wrongly, you can also contact your card issuer to dispute a charge and file a complaint with your provincial consumer protection office or the general Government of Canada consumer information resources: Government of Canada - Consumer information.
Public reports and reviews show multiple recurring themes: many customers report unexpected or unauthorized recurring charges, confusion over pricing and currency, upsells from trials to premium, and difficulty cancelling. Several users describe confusing or opaque cancellation flows, and many reported poor or automated customer service responses. At the same time, Ketogo’s web app contains an in‑app cancellation path and purchases made through app stores can be cancelled through those stores when their procedures are followed correctly - those methods have worked for other users.
Common errors include deleting the mobile app instead of cancelling the subscription in Apple/Google settings, missing the 48‑hour cutoff before renewal, failing to cancel add-on services separately, and not saving confirmation evidence (screenshots or emails). Another frequent mistake is assuming KetoGo can refund App Store/Google Play charges - if you purchased through those stores you must use their refund processes or contact them first.
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Website / Web app (my.ketogo.app) | Refunds limited: only for faulty/misdescribed content and within withdrawal period; recurring payments not refundable per policy | Moderate - follow in‑app steps and keep confirmation screenshot |
| Apple App Store | Handled by Apple - refunds determined by Apple’s policies | Low to moderate - cancel via Apple account; request refunds via Apple support |
| Google Play | Handled by Google - refunds determined by Google Play policies | Low to moderate - cancel via Google Play account; request refunds via Google support |
After you cancel, keep and store proof of cancellation (screenshots of the confirmation banner, emails and timestamps). Monitor your bank/card for any further charges and contact your payment provider immediately if you see unauthorized renewals. If you purchased via Apple or Google, use their refund request processes (Apple, Google Play). If Ketogo does not resolve a billing dispute and you paid by card, consider contacting your card issuer to dispute the charge and file a complaint with your provincial consumer protection office or the Government of Canada consumer resources: Canada - Consumer information.
