Cancellation Lucidpress: Easy Method
What is Lucidpress
Lucidpress (now Marq) is a cloud‑based design and brand‑management platform for creating documents such as brochures, flyers, newsletters and templates. It offers free and paid subscription plans with online editing, templates, image libraries and team/brand controls, and is accessed through a web browser or mobile app.
How to cancel Lucidpress
- Web (via account dashboard): Log in at marq.com, open your profile or Account Settings → Plans & Billing → Manage current plan → Cancel plan (or cancel trial). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid billing period.
- App Store (iOS): If you subscribed through Apple, open iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions and cancel the Lucidpress/Marq subscription there. Lucid (Marq) cannot cancel App Store subscriptions for you.
- Google Play (Android): If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel via the Google Play app (Menu → Subscriptions) or the Google Play website. Uninstalling the app or emailing support without canceling in Google Play does not stop charges.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a web/Marq subscription, your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until that date. After the billing period ends your account reverts to the Free tier and any team or premium features are disabled. Your documents remain in your account but access to premium templates, stock assets or locked team features will be removed unless you resubscribe or export your work. For App Store and Google Play subscriptions, cancellation only stops future renewals from the store; the timing of access ending follows the store’s rules and the paid period already purchased.
Will I get a refund?
Lucid (Marq) offers a 14‑day money‑back guarantee for first‑time subscribers on monthly and annual plans; refunds must be requested from Lucid/Marq (usually by email) with purchase details and are typically processed in ~3 - 5 business days. After 14 days refunds are generally not provided except in exceptional circumstances. If you purchased via the iOS App Store or Google Play, refunds must be requested through Apple or Google respectively (Lucid cannot issue or approve store refunds).
Lucidpress plans and pricing
| Plan | Price | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | USD 0.00/month | Monthly | 3 documents, 3 pages per document |
| Pro | USD 3.00/month | Monthly | Unlimited documents/pages, premium templates, advanced design, basic template locking, stock photos/icons |
| Team | USD 12.00/user/month | Monthly | All Pro features plus advanced template locking, basic account & identity management |
| Business (Enterprise) | Contact sales (USD) | Custom | Advanced account & identity management, advanced design, advanced locking, approval workflows, etc. |
Your consumer rights in Canada
Under Canadian consumer protection principles, digital subscriptions must allow cancellation at least as easily as signup. Refund rights can depend on whether the service has begun and on provincial rules. Persistent or hidden renewal mechanisms or refusal to allow reasonable cancellation could be challenged through provincial consumer protection offices or the Competition Bureau. If you see unauthorized charges, you can contact your credit card issuer to dispute them and consider filing a complaint with your provincial consumer affairs office if Lucid/Marq’s cancellation or refund process is unclear or appears noncompliant.
Customer experiences
Reviews are mixed: many users rate the platform highly for ease of use, features and customer service (for example high ratings on Capterra), while other reviewers report problems such as difficulty locating cancellation options, charges after attempted cancellations, and inconsistent responses to refund requests. App‑store purchases add another layer of complexity because refunds and cancellations are controlled by Apple or Google, and users commonly report confusion when switching between store and direct subscriptions.
Documentation checklist
- Account email and username; order receipt or invoice (date and amount); subscription ID or plan name; screenshots of current subscription page or cancellation confirmation; payment method details (last 4 digits); any support emails or chat transcripts related to cancellation; if purchased through Apple/Google, include the App Store/Google Play order number or receipt.
Common mistakes
Common mistakes include assuming uninstalling the app cancels the subscription (it does not), emailing support without canceling through the correct channel (web dashboard, Apple ID, or Google Play), and missing the 14‑day refund window for first‑time purchases. Another frequent error is expecting Lucid/Marq to refund App Store or Google Play charges - those refunds must be requested from the store.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Web (account dashboard) | 14‑day money‑back for first‑time subscribers if requested to Lucid/Marq; otherwise refunds uncommon | Low - cancel in Account Settings, effective at period end |
| App Store (iOS) | Refunds must be requested from Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com); Lucid cannot issue store refunds | Medium - manage subscriptions in iOS Settings and request refunds via Apple |
| Google Play (Android) | Refunds must be requested from Google Play support; Lucid cannot approve store refunds | Medium - cancel in Google Play subscriptions and contact Google for refunds |
After cancelling
After you cancel, save copies of important documents and export work if you need guaranteed ongoing access to premium content. For account cancellation or billing help use Marq's help pages at marq.com/help. For App Store refund or subscription issues use reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play subscription management or refunds, visit Google Play subscriptions help. If you believe you were charged incorrectly and can’t resolve it with Marq or the store, contact your card issuer to dispute the charge and consider contacting your provincial consumer protection office.
