Cancellation Trailforks: Easy Method
What is Trailforks
Trailforks is a trail-mapping and trail-management platform used by mountain bikers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts to view, plan and record routes. It provides maps, trail conditions, and Pro features (such as offline maps and global access) through an annual subscription model on the web and mobile app stores.
How to cancel Trailforks
- Web (Trailforks website): Log into your Trailforks account, go to Profile → Settings → Pro Subscription → Cancel. This cancels auto-renewal but your Pro access remains until the renewal date. Web purchases may also offer a "Refund" option in the same Pro Subscription area within the refund window.
- Google Play (Android): Open the Google Play app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select the Trailforks Pro subscription → Cancel Subscription. This stops auto-renewal; access remains until the renewal date. Web or Google Play purchases may be eligible for a refund within 14 days (see refund section).
- Apple App Store (iOS): Open the Settings app → tap your name → Subscriptions → select Trailforks Pro or Pro with Outside+ → Cancel Subscription. This stops auto-renewal; access remains until the renewal date. Trailforks cannot issue Apple refunds - contact Apple Support for refunds or immediate cancellation requests.
- Important notes: Removing the app from your device does NOT cancel a subscription on mobile platforms. If you prefer to send a written cancellation request to the company, consider registered mail (see Address section below).
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a Trailforks subscription through the web or app stores, the action typically disables auto-renewal; you retain Pro access until the current paid period ends. If you request and are granted an immediate refund (see policy below), the subscription is terminated immediately. Your Trailforks account and any data you created (routes, logs, favorites) generally remain in your account unless you choose to delete them - cancelling does not automatically remove your user data.
Will I get a refund?
Trailforks' policy: Web and Google Play purchases may be eligible for a full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase or renewal. On the web, a "Refund" option can appear under Profile → Settings → Pro Subscription; selecting it will immediately cancel the membership and process the refund if your purchase qualifies. Beyond 14 days after purchase or renewal, refunds are typically not granted under Trailforks' stated policy. For iOS (App Store) purchases, Trailforks cannot issue refunds or perform immediate cancellations - Apple handles those requests and refunds must be requested through Apple Support.
Trailforks plans and pricing

Your consumer rights in Canada
In Canada, statutory consumer protection laws at the federal and provincial levels may provide rights beyond a vendor's stated refund policy, including remedies for defective digital services or misleading representations. Trailforks' 14-day refund policy does not override those statutory rights. If you believe a digital service was defective, misrepresented, or you were charged incorrectly, you can raise the issue with your payment provider (bank or credit card) and with the applicable provincial consumer protection office. For App Store purchases, Apple handles refunds; for Google Play, Google provides refund procedures in addition to any vendor policy.
Customer experiences
Many users praise Trailforks for its trail maps, route visibility and the value of Pro features for planning and offline access. At the same time, users report recurring issues: app instability (freezes, unexpected logouts), difficulty accessing content despite an active subscription, slow or unresponsive customer support, occasional double-charges or unexpected renewals, and dissatisfaction that some previously available features are now paywalled. Reviews and community posts reflect a mix of positive utility and frustration around reliability and support responsiveness.
Documentation checklist
- Account email and username, transaction receipt or invoice, date of purchase or renewal, platform used to purchase (Web / Google Play / App Store), screenshots or confirmation emails of cancellation or refund requests, and any correspondence with Trailforks or app-store support.
Common mistakes
Users commonly delete the app believing that removes the subscription; this does not cancel billing on Google Play or the App Store. Another frequent error is assuming cancellation is immediate - cancelling normally stops future renewals but leaves access until the period ends unless an immediate refund is granted. Some customers try to get Apple refunds through Trailforks instead of contacting Apple first. Failing to request a refund within the 14-day window (for eligible Web/Google purchases) or not keeping proof of cancellation/communication can make resolving disputes harder.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Web (Trailforks website) | Possible full refund within 14 days via Profile → Settings → Pro Subscription → Refund | Easy |
| Google Play (Android) | Possible full refund within 14 days; cancel in Google Play and request refund via Google/Trailforks procedures | Easy - Medium |
| Apple App Store (iOS) | Trailforks cannot issue refunds; request through Apple Support (refunds at Apple’s discretion) | Medium - Hard |
| Registered mail to company | No automatic refund; use for formal cancellation requests or dispute evidence - refunds depend on purchase method and policy | Medium - Hard (slower, requires proof of delivery) |
After cancelling
After you cancel, keep confirmation emails or screenshots of the cancellation and any refund approvals. If you paid via Apple, use Apple’s subscription and refund pages; for Google Play, check your purchase history and refund status in Google Play. If you see unauthorized charges, contact your bank or credit card issuer to dispute them and file a claim. For more information or to start cancellation/refund actions, see Trailforks at Trailforks, Google Play subscriptions guidance at Google Play - Cancel subscriptions, and Apple subscription support at Apple - Manage subscriptions and Apple - Request a refund. If you need provincial or federal consumer help, consult your provincial consumer protection office or Government of Canada consumer resources.
