Cancellation Cleanbrowsing: Easy Method

What is CleanBrowsing

Service overview

CleanBrowsing is a DNS filtering service that blocks adult and unwanted content by categorizing web traffic and returning filtered DNS responses. It is used on routers, devices, and networks to enforce safe-browsing policies.

How it is delivered

CleanBrowsing is offered as a subscription service with self-service account management on its website and with apps available through Apple App Store and Google Play.

How to cancel CleanBrowsing

Cancel web (direct) subscriptions

• Sign in to your CleanBrowsing account on the CleanBrowsing website dashboard.
• Find your subscription or billing section and choose Cancel to stop auto-renewal before the next billing date.
• Note: deleting the app or removing DNS settings does NOT cancel a web subscription.
• Official ToS: subscriptions renew automatically and must be canceled via the account dashboard to avoid renewal. See the CleanBrowsing terms: CleanBrowsing Terms.

Cancel subscriptions purchased via app stores

• Apple App Store (iOS): Cancel under your Apple ID > Subscriptions in account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Google Play: Cancel under Google Play > Subscriptions at least 24 hours before renewal. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
• Follow the platform’s subscription management screens; CleanBrowsing cannot cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions for you.

What happens when you cancel

Access and service

When you cancel a recurring subscription, access typically continues until the end of the paid billing period. The service will stop at the end of that term and will not renew.

Data and account status

Cancelling does not necessarily delete your account or settings. Your account data and configuration may remain unless you explicitly request deletion via support.

Will I get a refund?

Official refund policy

CleanBrowsing’s terms state that fees are non-refundable and you will be billed for the full subscription term even if you cancel mid-term.

Exceptions and platform purchases

• Refunds may be issued only in exceptional cases at CleanBrowsing’s sole discretion.
• If the purchase was made through Apple or Google Play, refunds and disputes must follow those platforms’ processes and policies.

CleanBrowsing plans and pricing

How pricing is presented

CleanBrowsing lists prices in USD on its website; no official INR pricing for India was found for 2024/2025. For exact costs, contact CleanBrowsing or check your app store listing.

Your consumer rights in India

Refund expectations

CleanBrowsing’s terms do not provide an automatic 14-day cooling-off or statutory refund right; the company’s policy is generally “no refunds” except at its discretion.

Platform-specific rights

• Purchases via Apple or Google Play in India must follow Apple/Google refund and cancellation processes.
• For web-direct purchases, CleanBrowsing disclaims refunds under its terms; Indian consumers should check platform policies for any consumer protections that apply to app-store purchases.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Some users report effective blocking of unwanted and malicious sites, good DNS performance, and smooth payment for custom filters. Positive reviews note the service “works like a charm” when configured correctly.

Negative feedback

Other users report inconsistent or slow support and cases where sites indicated as blocked still load, creating reliability concerns. Trustpilot hosts a mix of positive and negative reviews: CleanBrowsing on Trustpilot.

Documentation checklist

What to gather before contacting support

• Account email address used to sign up.
• Order ID or transaction details (if available).
• Receipt or screenshot of the subscription from the website or app store.
• Subscription renewal date and platform (Web, Apple App Store, Google Play).

What to include in your message

• Clear request: cancel subscription and (if desired) ask for account deletion.
• Attach proof of purchase and relevant screenshots showing active subscription.
• Provide a preferred contact email and time zone for any follow-up.

Common mistakes

Deleting the app instead of cancelling

Many users assume removing the app cancels the subscription. This does not stop billing for web, Apple, or Google Play subscriptions.

Waiting until renewal day

Waiting until the renewal date can lead to an unwanted charge. For Google Play, cancel at least 24 hours before renewal; for web subscriptions, cancel before the next billing date via dashboard.

After cancelling

Confirm cancellation
