- If eligible within the allowed time-window, choose “Cancel” or follow the on-screen reversal flow to request cancellation.
- Choose refund to original payment method or instant reversal to MyJio store credit when offered.
PostPaid Plus security deposit termination
- Clear all outstanding postpaid dues for the mobile connection before requesting termination.
- Jio will send a deep-link via SMS/email asking you to provide bank details for the security deposit refund.
- Follow the deep-link and submit bank details within the link validity period.
AutoPay (JioAutoPay) cancellation
- Open MyJio App → Menu → JioPay → JioAutoPay.
- Select the linked bank account or card you want to stop and tap “Cancel”.
- Confirm cancellation and keep a screenshot/confirmation for records.
What is not eligible for app/web cancellation
- Recharges made via third-party apps (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm) or retailer/agent POS are NOT eligible for MyJio/App cancellation.
- For third-party payments, contact the third-party platform or the retailer directly for resolution.
What happens when you cancel
Service effect
For canceled recharges, service activation is rolled back and benefits from that recharge stop immediately or when reversal completes.
If a recharge had already activated and you cancel within policy, validity and bundled benefits tied to that recharge will be removed per Jio processing.
Billing and account status
For PostPaid Plus account termination, final bills and any outstanding dues must be settled before refunding deposits.
For prepaid cancellations, your main account/number remains active unless you explicitly disconnect the SIM or request permanent termination.
Data, OTT and add-ons
Bundled OTT subscriptions or add-ons provided by the canceled recharge are revoked when the recharge is reversed or expires early.
If the canceled item included long-term perks (annual plans), those perks will be removed and not prorated unless explicitly refunded.
Will I get a refund?
Standard recharge refund policy
Only recharges made directly via MyJio App or Jio.com and canceled within the allowed time-window are eligible for refund.
For standard plans, cancellation must be requested within 3 hours of the recharge. For International Roaming/ISD plans the window is 2 hours, except when status is “Upcoming” - then cancellation may be allowed up to 30 days.

After dues clearance, Jio sends a deep-link to collect bank details; the link is valid for 7 days.
Refunds by bank transfer typically take up to 15 days after bank details are submitted via the link.
Other services and exceptions
- Subscriptions and many device or hardware related purchases are generally non-refundable under Jio’s Terms of Service; terminated subscriptions usually do not receive refunds.
