Cancellation Disk Drill: Easy Method

What is Disk Drill

Overview

Disk Drill is a data recovery application from CleverFiles that helps restore deleted or lost files from internal drives, external disks, and memory cards.

It is available in free and paid editions with features such as quick and deep scans, lost-partition search, and file preview before recovery.

Intended users

Disk Drill targets home users, IT technicians, and businesses that need to recover accidentally deleted data or damaged partitions.

Licensing options include single‑user Pro and business Enterprise editions sold as one‑time lifetime licenses in some Indian listings.

How to cancel Disk Drill

Cancel a direct web purchase (CleverFiles)

• Send a written cancellation notice (for example, email) to [email protected].
• The CleverFiles Terms require notice to support to terminate your legal agreement; there is no automated cancel link for direct purchases.

Cancel subscriptions bought through app stores

• Apple App Store/iTunes: Open Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → find Disk Drill → Cancel.
• Google Play Store: Open Play Store app → Menu → Subscriptions → find Disk Drill → Cancel.
• CleverFiles cannot cancel store-managed subscriptions on your behalf; you must cancel through the store.

What happens when you cancel

Access and license status

After cancellation of a direct purchase agreement, you cease being authorized to use paid features if termination is accepted by CleverFiles.

For store subscriptions, cancellation prevents future renewals but may leave access active until the current paid period ends.

Data and software behavior

Canceling a license does not delete recovered files stored on your devices; it only affects access to licensed features in the app.

Uninstalling the app will remove the program from your machine but not the data you recovered and saved elsewhere.

Will I get a refund?

Official CleverFiles policy

CleverFiles states that purchases are final and non-refundable; their Terms of Service and EULA record a general "No Refunds" position.

Refunds may be issued only at CleverFiles' sole discretion in special circumstances.

Exceptions and regional notes

• EU residents: the EULA indicates no right of withdrawal for digital content, consistent with the stated policy.
• India: consumer law may provide protections against unfair contract terms, so a "no refunds" clause could be challengeable depending on circumstances.

Your consumer rights in India

Legal context

Indian consumer protection laws and e‑commerce rules offer remedies for defective or misrepresented digital goods.

A seller's "no refunds" clause may be examined for fairness by consumer authorities and could be set aside in some disputes.

Practical steps to assert rights

• Keep proof of purchase, order IDs, payment receipts, and correspondence with CleverFiles or the reseller.
• If you believe the product is defective or misrepresented, you can request a refund, escalate to your payment provider, or file a complaint with local consumer forums.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Some users report successful recoveries and praise ease of use and helpful customer support in positive reviews.

Commercial review sites include positive testimonials noting recovery of specific file types and long-term use satisfaction.

Negative feedback

Other users report failed or corrupted recoveries, difficulties obtaining refunds, and dissatisfaction with support responses.

Community discussions include warnings from users who felt recovery promises were misleading or who had trouble with refund processes.

Documentation checklist

Essential documents to gather

• Order confirmation email and invoice showing date, amount, and order ID.
• Account email used for purchase and any license keys or activation receipts.
• Screenshots of purchase page, licensing information, and app behavior demonstrating defects.

Communication records

• Copies of all emails exchanged with CleverFiles support and timestamps of chats or tickets.
• Bank or payment provider transaction records if you plan to dispute a charge.

Common mistakes

Assuming automatic cancellation by CleverFiles

Users sometimes assume CleverFiles will cancel store subscriptions or direct purchases for them; stores and CleverFiles generally require the user to initiate cancellation.

Always confirm cancellation through the same channel you used to purchase (store account or direct support).

Not keeping purchase evidence

Failing to save invoices, order IDs, or screenshots weakens refund or dispute attempts.

Keep short logs of support interactions and dates to support any escalation.

Comparative recap

Use it to match a plan to your recovery needs and budget.

After cancelling

Immediate actions

Save any confirmation of cancellation (email or screenshot) and retain your receipt for records.

If you paid by card, monitor statements for future charges and be prepared to contact your bank if an unauthorized renewal occurs.

Further steps and escalation

• If you need a refund request, submit all documentation to CleverFiles support and state your reasons clearly.
• If unresolved, consider raising a dispute with your payment provider or filing a complaint with local consumer protection authorities in India.
