Cancellation Inkarnate: Easy Method
What is Inkarnate
Overview
Inkarnate is an online map-making tool for creating detailed fantasy and tabletop RPG maps. It offers a browser-based editor plus paid subscription tiers that unlock high-resolution exports, more assets and commercial use.
Who uses it
Creators, game masters, worldbuilders and storytellers use Inkarnate to design content quickly without deep drawing skills. The service combines free features with Pro/paid plans for advanced needs.
How to cancel Inkarnate
Cancel via the Inkarnate website (direct)
- Sign in at your Inkarnate account on the web platform.
- Open Account Settings or Subscription section and follow the cancel subscription option.
- Cancelling through the web halts future renewals on subscriptions billed directly by Inkarnate. See terms for details: Inkarnate Terms.
Cancel iOS (App Store) or Android (Google Play) subscriptions
- If you purchased via Apple, manage subscriptions through your Apple ID / App Store subscription settings; cancelling must be done there.
- If you purchased via Google Play, manage and cancel through the Google Play subscriptions page; Inkarnate cannot cancel these for you.
- Deleting the Inkarnate app or your Inkarnate account does not cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
What happens when you cancel
Access and renewal
After cancelling an Inkarnate subscription you retain access until the current paid period ends. Renewal stops at the end of that billing cycle.
Data, maps and assets
Your saved maps and account data remain available but access to Pro-only features (exports, HD assets, marketplace items) ends when the paid period expires.
If you used paid Marketplace assets they may remain in your maps but some license or export rights can change - review Inkarnate terms for specifics: Terms.
Will I get a refund?
Standard refund window
Inkarnate accepts refund requests within 14 days of purchase for subscriptions or Marketplace items, unless you have accessed or used paid assets. Using paid assets (saving, exporting, incorporating) typically voids the 14-day right.
See the official refund page for the policy: Inkarnate Refunds.
Exceptions and processing
- Refund requests after 14 days may still be considered at Inkarnate’s sole discretion.
- Defective, corrupted or materially misdescribed digital products may be refundable at any time as required by applicable law.
- Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original payment method.
- Nothing in Inkarnate’s policy limits statutory consumer protection rights.
Inkarnate plans and pricing
Available plans (USD)
Inkarnate lists subscription prices in USD on its site. Below are the commonly advertised monthly plans and feature summaries.
Notes on INR and taxes
Inkarnate does not publish official INR pricing. Indian users will be charged in USD and their bank/card will convert to INR at the time of billing. Taxes (including GST) may apply depending on payment processor and local rules.
| Plan | Price (USD) | Period | Key features |
|---|---|---|---|
| Creator | $7.99 | Monthly | 30K+ HD assets, Export up to 8K, 4K editor res., Personal use, 100 maps, 100 custom assets |
| Studio | $14.99 | Monthly | 30K+ HD assets, Export up to 16K, Commercial use, Unlimited maps, 10,000 custom assets, Art Manager |
| Creator (approx. INR) | approximately ₹[converted value] | Monthly | Same features as USD Creator; estimated INR conversion only |
| Studio (approx. INR) | approximately ₹[converted value] | Monthly | Same features as USD Studio; estimated INR conversion only |
Your consumer rights in India
Statutory protections
Inkarnate’s published policy states nothing limits statutory consumer protection rights, which implies Indian law still applies to Indian consumers.
Under Indian consumer rules (for example the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020), buyers have rights for defective, misdescribed or undelivered digital goods and services.
How this affects refunds and disputes
- For purchases via Apple or Google Play, platform refund procedures also apply in addition to Inkarnate’s policy.
- If your issue is not resolved directly, Indian consumer redress mechanisms (consumer commission, dispute resolution) may be available.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Some users rate Inkarnate positively for ease of use and graphics quality. Long-term Pro users have reported reliable service over several years in community forums.
Example: a Trustpilot review praised the tool as "nice and easy to use" with "great graphics": Trustpilot.
Negative feedback
There are recent reports of customer service issues and feature/limit changes that frustrated users, including problems after re-subscribing and reduced map limits.
Community concerns also include marketplace content changes (e.g., AI-generated assets) and reactionary cancellation threats: see a Reddit thread on customer service issues: Reddit.
Documentation checklist
What to gather before requesting cancellation or refund
- Account email and username used with Inkarnate.
- Order or subscription date and receipt (Inkarnate receipt or App Store/Google Play receipt).
- Transaction ID from your bank or payment processor, if available.
- Screenshots showing billing, subscription status, errors or where paid assets were used.
Where to send evidence
- When contacting Inkarnate support include the above items and a clear request (cancel / refund / dispute).
- For App Store or Google Play purchases include the platform receipt and follow Apple/Google refund steps first.
Common mistakes
Assuming deleting the app cancels the subscription
Many users assume removing the Inkarnate app also stops billing. That is incorrect for App Store and Google Play purchases; you must cancel in the platform subscription settings.
Expecting automatic refunds after cancellation
Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not automatically generate a refund. Refunds are handled under Inkarnate’s refund policy or through the payment platform’s procedures.
Comparative recap
Quick comparison of cancellation paths
The table below summarises who manages cancellation, where refunds are requested, and immediate actions you should take.
How to use this table
