Cancellation Pixieset: Easy Method
What is Pixieset
Overview
Pixieset is a subscription-based platform for photographers to showcase, sell, and deliver photos and client galleries online.
It includes Client Gallery tools, an online Store, website builder, Studio Manager and mobile gallery apps to manage bookings, payments and delivery.
Primary uses
Photographers use Pixieset to create client galleries, sell prints and digital downloads, and manage studio payments and invoices.
Pixieset integrates with common photography workflows but some features (billing, refunds) depend on where a subscription or purchase was made.
How to cancel Pixieset
Cancel via Web (Pixieset dashboard)
- Sign in to your Pixieset dashboard.
- Click the profile icon, choose Billing, then Change Plan, then Cancel Subscription.
- For monthly plans, cancellations take effect immediately; for yearly plans you may cancel immediately or turn off auto‑renew to end at period’s end.
Cancel via App Stores
- If you subscribed through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must cancel through that store.
- Pixieset cannot cancel or manage subscriptions purchased via App Store or Google Play on your behalf.
What happens when you cancel
Access and service
Monthly cancellations typically stop access immediately for the paid features you had on that billing cycle.
Yearly plans can either stop immediately or continue until the end of the paid year if you turn off auto‑renewal.
Data, galleries and orders
Your account data, galleries and store content generally remain in your account but feature access may be restricted after cancellation.
Always export or download important files and order records before losing access to paid features.
Will I get a refund?
Subscription refunds
Refunds for subscriptions are not guaranteed. Pixieset provides refunds only at its sole discretion or when required by law.
If you need a refund, contact Pixieset support and provide receipts and a clear reason; outcome is not guaranteed.
Prints, store orders and Studio Manager payments
- Prints and Store products are non‑refundable and non‑exchangeable, except for physical defects.
- For defective prints, contact your photographer within 30 days for a refund or replacement - this is the exclusive remedy.
- Payments made via Studio Manager (Invoices / Pixieset Payments) can be refunded (full or partial) from the Payments page; refunds take about 5 - 10 business days to return.
- Refund caps may apply by payment method (for example, PayPal and ACH have time limits that can prevent system refunds for older transactions).

Your consumer rights in India
Applicable protections
Under India’s Consumer Protection (E‑Commerce) Rules and related law, digital subscription services should provide clear cancellation procedures.
There is also an expectation of a short trial cancellation window (commonly referenced as 7 days in guidance); specific statutory rights can vary by case.
When to escalate
- If Pixieset denies a lawful refund or uses unfair contract terms, you may raise a formal consumer complaint in India.
- For faulty prints (non‑conforming goods) the consumer is entitled to repair, replacement or refund under Indian consumer law - keep proof and timelines.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Users praise smooth Lightroom integration, attractive client gallery layouts and generally easy-to-use interfaces.
Support response for routine queries is often described as effective and timely by many users.
Common complaints
- Lack of practical, task-oriented tutorials - videos can be more narrative than instructional.
- Limitations in edge-case support, for example account recovery when primary email access is lost.
- Issues when photographers misconfigure Store payments - clients cannot complete purchases and Pixieset cannot process those payments directly.
- Problems cancelling subscriptions purchased via external app stores; refunds sometimes not provided as expected.
Documentation checklist
Before contacting support
- Account email and username used for Pixieset.
- Subscription receipts, invoice numbers and billing dates.
- Screenshots of Billing page or error messages when attempting cancellation.
For refunds or defective products
- Order ID and photos showing physical defects (for prints/products).
- Transaction IDs for payments (card, PayPal, ACH) if requesting Studio Manager refunds.
- Message history with the photographer or Pixieset support for timeline evidence.
Common mistakes
Assuming Pixieset can cancel App Store subscriptions
Many users try to cancel in the Pixieset dashboard when they subscribed via Apple or Google Play.
Remember those subscriptions must be cancelled through the App Store or Google Play account settings.
Missing time windows and proof
Expecting refunds for prints without following the 30‑day defect reporting window can lead to denial of claims.
Also, not saving receipts, transaction IDs or screenshots often weakens refund or dispute requests.
Comparative recap
Quick comparison
The table below summarizes cancellation and refund differences between the dashboard, app stores, and Studio Manager payments.
Use it to choose the correct route for action and evidence needed.
| Action | Web Dashboard | App Store / Google Play | Studio Manager Payments |
|---|---|---|---|
| How to cancel | Profile → Billing → Change Plan → Cancel Subscription | Cancel through Apple/Google account settings | Issue refunds from Payments page (photographer/studio) |
| Refund likelihood | Not guaranteed; discretionary or legal requirement | Refunds handled by App Store/Google policies | Refunds supported; time and caps apply (5 - 10 business days) |
| Time to refund | Varies; discretionary | Subject to store refund processing time | Approximately 5 - 10 business days (may vary by method) |
| Special conditions | Yearly cancel: immediate or auto‑renew off | Pixieset cannot act for you | Older transactions may be non‑refundable via system (PayPal/ACH limits) |
