Cancel Caci: Easy Method
What is Caci
Overview
Caci is a New Zealand provider of beauty and skin-health services and retail skincare, operating clinics across the country.
Services include memberships for skin, laser and body treatments, product subscriptions and online product sales.
How Caci operates
Memberships are typically managed through a specific clinic and paid by direct debit plans or weekly pricing options.
Skincare subscriptions and online orders are managed via the Caci website account system rather than through an app store.
How to cancel Caci
Cancel a membership
- Notify the Caci clinic where your membership is held in writing; at least 7 days' written notice is required for cancellation to be actioned.
- If you prefer email, send your cancellation to the clinic or to enquiry@caci.co.nz and request confirmation.
- Keep a copy of your written notice and any reply for your records.
Cancel subscriptions and online orders
- Skincare product subscriptions ("Subscribe & Save") can be paused, changed, or cancelled at any time via your online account.
- For online product returns (change of mind), request a return within 10 days of purchase; items must be unused and in original packaging.
- App Store / Google Play cancellations: there is no dedicated Caci app; membership and subscriptions are managed via the website or clinic, not via app marketplaces.
What happens when you cancel
Access and appointments
Once cancellation is processed your ongoing direct debit or scheduled payments will stop according to the clinic’s reconciliation process.
Any future appointments under the cancelled membership will be removed; confirm with your clinic about booked treatments.
Account and personal data
Your account remains in Caci's systems for administrative and legal purposes; request a copy of your account activity if needed.
If you want data removed, contact the clinic or enquiry@caci.co.nz and ask about their privacy and data-retention practices.
Will I get a refund?
Membership refunds and vouchers
Within 7 days of membership start you may cancel in writing and receive a full refund if no products or services have been delivered.
Outside that cooling-off window, refunds for cancelled memberships are reconciled and issued as Caci gift vouchers rather than cash refunds.
Online product refunds and legal exceptions
- Change of mind returns: you have 10 days from purchase to request a return or exchange (excluding gift vouchers); items must be unused and in original packaging.
- Original shipping is refunded only if Caci made an error or if covered under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA).
- If goods or services are faulty or substandard you can invoke CGA rights for repair, replacement or refund regardless of Caci’s stated policy.

Your consumer rights in New Zealand
Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA)
The CGA 1993 guarantees acceptable quality, fitness for purpose and services provided with reasonable care and skill for goods and services sold in trade in New Zealand.
Caci cannot contract out of CGA rights; if a treatment or product is faulty you may be entitled to repair, replacement or refund under the law.
Cooling-off and distance selling
- Caci offers a 7-day cooling-off for new memberships if no services/products were supplied; keep this in mind when you sign up.
- Direct selling and distance sale rules may offer additional protections; check consumer guidance if you believe you have extra cancellation rights.
- For more detail on consumer law see the Consumer Protection pages linked below.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Many customers rate Caci highly for friendly, professional staff, relaxing treatments and visible skin improvements.
Clinic-level comments frequently praise welcoming staff and knowledgeable teams at locations such as Takapuna and Napier.
Negative feedback
Some reviewers report serious adverse outcomes (e.g., burns, scarring) and disputes over refunds or refunds being declined.
Other complaints involve membership billing issues and perceived lack of clarity about contract terms; keep records and ask for written terms before signing.
Documentation checklist
Documents to prepare
- Copy of your membership agreement or terms and conditions.
- Proof of payment (direct debit statements, receipts, invoices).
- Account name, membership ID, and clinic location details.
Supporting evidence
- If seeking refunds for faulty treatment: photos, medical reports, and clinic correspondence.
- Copies of written cancellation notice and any email replies from the clinic or enquiry@caci.co.nz.
Common mistakes
Not giving written notice to the clinic
Many cancellations fail because the customer did not notify the specific clinic in writing. Caci requires written notice to the clinic where the membership is held.
Use email and request a confirmation reply so you have a dated record.
Missing the cooling-off window or return deadlines
Assuming you can get a cash refund outside the 7-day membership cooling-off or the 10-day online return window is a common error.
Also, expecting shipping costs to be refunded for change-of-mind returns will usually be incorrect unless Caci made an error or the CGA applies.
Comparative recap
Quick comparison
Use this table to compare how different Caci products and services are cancelled and refunded.
Comparison table
| Product / Service | How to cancel | Refund type | Cooling-off / Deadline | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Memberships | Written notice to the clinic (≥7 days) or email to clinic / enquiry@caci.co.nz | Reconciled; refunds issued as Caci gift vouchers (full refund within 7 days if unused) | 7 days for full refund if no services/products used | Treats/non-refundable items expire on cancellation; keep records. |
| Skincare subscriptions | Manage in your online account (pause/change/cancel anytime) | Depends on product return policy; subscription billing stops when cancelled | Ongoing; manage via account before next scheduled shipment | Scheduling adjustments are supported via account. |
| Online product purchases | Request return via online orders process | Refund to payment method for change of mind within 10 days (excludes vouchers); shipping exceptions apply | 10 days for change of mind returns | Faulty goods covered by CGA regardless of policy. |
| App store / Google Play | No app-based management found; manage via website or clinic | Handled by Caci billing/clinic rather than app marketplace | See the specific service type above | If an app marketplace purchase existed, follow that store’s process; Caci appears not to use app-store subscriptions. |
