For freelook cancellations, coverage ceases immediately on processing of your request.
For travel single-trip, if trip has started there is no refund and coverage continues until trip end as applicable.

Cancelled policies are closed in Great Eastern’s systems; you will not receive further renewal notices for that policy.
Keep copies of cancellation confirmations and any refund communications for your records.
Will I get a refund?
Freelook refunds
If you cancel during the 14‑day freelook period, Great Eastern will refund premiums after processing your request.
Refunds are issued via PayNow (or another indicated mode) and processed after approximately 5 working days from cancellation confirmation.
Travel and home refund rules
- Single-trip travel: refund = premium paid minus S$25 administration fee if cancelled before departure; no refund once trip starts.
- Annual multi-trip travel: refund on pro‑rata basis by days elapsed (examples: up to 60 days = 60% refund; 61 - 120 days = 40%; 121 - 180 days = 20%; >180 days = nil).
- Home/general: refunds based on time-in-force schedule (descending percentages, e.g. up to 1 month = 80% down to nil after 12 months), payable only if refund ≥ S$25 + GST.
