Required method
Cancellations and resignations must be submitted in writing; SAFRA does not accept auto-cancellation via App Store, Google Play, or online self-service flows.
Write your resignation including your full name and membership number and send it by email or post.

- Prepare a written resignation stating your name and SAFRA membership number.

What happens when you cancel
Access and membership end
Your entitlement to SAFRA member rates and facility access ends on the termination date specified by SAFRA or upon expiry of the paid term if no alternative arrangement applies.
If you resign before the paid term ends, access termination follows SAFRA’s membership terms and processing timelines.
Auto-renewal and records
If you wish to stop auto-renewal, written notice must be given well in advance (see timing rules below).
SAFRA retains records as required under its policies; request confirmation in your written resignation and keep copies of all correspondence.
Will I get a refund?
Standard refund policy
All membership subscription fees - for current or advance terms - are strictly non-refundable for any unused years upon resignation, termination, or change of membership type.
Membership applications and renewals similarly state that membership fees are strictly non-refundable.
Exceptions and waivers
- Members going overseas continuously for at least one year may apply to be placed on the Absent Members list and have fees waived for up to three years; documentary proof must be submitted at least one month before departure. See SAFRA FAQ for details.
- Specific promotional or contract exceptions (if any) will be governed by the terms and conditions in force at the time of purchase.
