What is Autoroam

Overview

AutoRoam is a pay-as-you-go roaming feature that automatically connects your mobile to partner networks while abroad so you can use data without buying a local SIM.

It charges usage per GB or per 100 MB depending on the destination group and is intended for occasional roaming rather than a fixed monthly plan.

How it works

When you travel to supported countries, AutoRoam automatically enables data roaming on eligible devices and bills consumption at the applicable pay-as-you-go rate.

You can enable or disable AutoRoam in the app and by turning Data Roaming off on your phone to prevent further usage.

How to cancel Autoroam

Canceling from the app

  • Open your service provider app and go to the AutoRoam or Roaming settings.
  • Turn off AutoRoam or Data Roaming to stop new roaming usage immediately.
  • Note: turning AutoRoam off stops roaming usage but does not substitute for formal account termination.

Formal cancellation / port-out timing

  • Submit your cancellation request by 12 PM (noon) on the last day of the calendar month for termination to take effect that same month.
  • If you submit later than 12 PM on the last day, termination will apply from the next billing month.
  • Service remains active until the end of the calendar billing cycle and you will be billed for the full month.

Service access

Your roaming and mobile service remain active until the final day of the billing cycle in which termination is effective.

Disabling AutoRoam in the app or device stops roaming data while the account remains active.

Billing and renewal

There is no separate one-off “cancellation fee,” but a minimum service period of two billing cycles applies so you are typically committed to at least two months of charges.

No pro-rata or mid-cycle refunds are given for unused days; you are charged for the full billing cycle that contains your termination.

Will I get a refund?

Standard refund policy

There is no refund for unused prepaid days when cancelling or porting out mid-cycle; you remain liable for the full billing cycle charges.

Guarantee deposits are refundable by default but require a formal request and adherence to time limits and attempt limits.

Guarantee deposit & waivers

  • Guarantee deposit refunds can only be requested starting one year (365 days) after deposit placement.
  • Up to three refund attempts are allowed; if none succeed, remaining deposit is refunded upon account termination.
