Cancellation Creately: Easy Method
What is Creately
Overview
Creately is a cloud-based diagramming and collaboration tool for creating flowcharts, mind maps, wireframes and other visual content.
It is subscription-based and designed for single users, teams and enterprises with features for real-time collaboration and templates.
Where it is hosted and offered
Creately is offered online via https://creately.com/ and via mobile app stores for iOS and Android.
Subscriptions may be billed directly by Creately or through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) depending on how you subscribed.
How to cancel Creately
Cancel a web subscription (direct with Creately)
- Send an email from your registered account address to support@creately.com requesting cancellation.
- Creately will respond and, after confirming, will convert or terminate the account within 24 hours of confirmation. See the Terms: Creately Terms of Service.
Cancel via mobile app stores
- App Store (iOS): Cancel in Apple Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Creately. The subscription remains active until the end of the paid period; Apple handles any refunds. See a guide: Postclic - Cancel Creately (App Store).
- Google Play (Android): Cancel in the Play Store → Account → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Creately → Manage → Cancel subscription. The subscription stays active until the paid period ends; Google handles refunds. Guide: Postclic - Cancel Creately (Google Play).
What happens when you cancel
Effect on paid accounts
When you cancel a paid Creately subscription billed directly, the account converts to non-paid at the end of the current billing period.
Access to paid features ends when the paid period expires; Creately confirms account changes within 24 hours of cancellation confirmation.
Effect on non-paid accounts and data
When a non-paid (free) account is cancelled or deleted via Creately, the account and all content may be deleted irrecoverably per their Terms of Service.
If you have important content, export or back up diagrams before cancelling to avoid permanent loss.
Will I get a refund?
Creately’s stated refund policy
Creately’s Terms of Service state that they do not offer refunds or credits for unused periods to the maximum extent permitted by law.
There is no general 14-day automatic refund right in Creately’s official policy. See: Creately Terms of Service.
Exceptions and store purchases
- Purchases through Apple or Google must follow each store’s refund process; the store handles refund requests for App Store and Play Store purchases.
- Refunds may still be granted if required by applicable law or offered as a goodwill gesture, depending on the circumstances.

Your consumer rights in Singapore
Applicable law summary
Under Singapore consumer protection laws (including the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act and the Lemon Law), suppliers must not use unfair contract terms in consumer contracts.
There is no statutory 14-day cooling-off period specifically for digital subscription services unless the provider offers one.
What you can do
- If you believe an unfair term has been applied or you were unreasonably denied a refund, you can seek assistance from CASE (Consumers Association of Singapore).
- Document correspondence and keep copies of invoices and cancellation confirmations when pursuing a dispute.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Users praise Creately for an intuitive interface, a wide template library, Smart Canvas features and suitability for remote collaboration.
Positive reviews appear on platforms such as Capterra and summaries on review-aggregate sites. See examples in reviews and summaries: TechRadar - Creately review.
Negative feedback
Negative reviews commonly report difficulties exporting diagrams on free tiers, excessive pop-ups, performance issues on complex diagrams and challenges cancelling via mobile.
Some reviewers on public sites have also reported data loss on cancellation and frustration with cancellation flows. See aggregated reviews: Trustpilot - Creately reviews.
Documentation checklist
What to prepare before you cancel
- Registered account email address (use this when emailing support@creately.com).
- Subscription invoices or billing receipts showing current period and payment method.
- Exported copies of important diagrams (PNG/JPEG or other supported exports) and any project documentation.
What to keep after cancellation
- The cancellation confirmation email from Creately (or store cancellation receipt from Apple/Google).
- Any correspondence with Creately support, including timestamps and reference numbers.
Common mistakes
Not backing up your data
Many users assume their diagrams remain available after cancelling a free account; in fact, non-paid accounts deleted on cancellation can lead to irrecoverable data loss.
Always export or back up important files before initiating cancellation.
Canceling in the wrong place
Users sometimes try to cancel a store-billed subscription via the Creately web console or vice versa, which does not stop billing from the store.
Confirm where the subscription is billed (Creately direct, Apple, or Google) and cancel through the correct channel to avoid continued charges.
Comparative recap
