Cancellation Printify: Easy Method
What is Printify
Overview
Printify is a print-on-demand platform that allows sellers to create and sell custom, made-to-order products without holding inventory.
It connects product creators with print providers, handles production and shipping, and offers optional subscription features for higher-volume users.
Primary uses
Common uses include launching apparel, accessories and homeware designs through integrations with marketplaces and stores.
Users choose products, upload designs, and Printify routes orders to a selected print provider for fulfilment.
How to cancel Printify
Cancel Premium on the Web
- Sign in to your Printify account on the website.
- Go to Wallet → Payments in your account settings.
- Click “Cancel subscription” (or “Cancel renewal” for yearly plans) and follow the prompts.
- Cancel before the renewal date to avoid the next charge; subscription fees are non-refundable.
For full instructions see the official guide: How can I cancel the Printify Premium plan subscription?
Cancel Premium via Shopify and cancel product orders
- If you use Printify through Shopify, the Premium subscription is cancelled automatically when you uninstall the Printify app, delete/suspend your Shopify store, or your Shopify plan expires.
- To cancel or edit a product order in Printify, you must act before the order is sent to production; orders cannot be changed once production starts.
- Follow the order edit/cancel steps in your Printify Orders page and contact support immediately if you need help.
See the order cancellation/edit rules: How do I cancel or edit an order?
What happens when you cancel
Access and features
When you cancel Premium, you lose Premium features at the end of the current paid period and revert to the free plan capabilities.
Active orders remain subject to production and fulfilment schedules regardless of subscription status.
Subscription renewal and billing
Cancelling prevents future renewals but does not automatically refund past subscription charges.
Yearly subscriptions require cancelling before renewal if you do not want the next year billed.
Data and account
Your account data, designs and order history remain in your Printify account unless you delete the account separately.
Deleting your account is a separate action and may require contacting support or following the account deletion process in settings.
Will I get a refund?
General policy
Printify does not provide refunds or accept returns for change of mind, wrong size or colour choices by the buyer.
Refunds for buyer’s remorse are generally not supported under Printify’s policy.
Exceptions - damaged items & manufacturing errors
- If a product is damaged or has a manufacturing defect, contact Printify support within 30 days of delivery.
- Validated cases may receive a free reprint or a refund credited to your Printify account balance.
- Printify may cancel orders pre-production for reasons such as IP violations, stock or financial impracticality and will issue a full refund in those cases.
See the returns and refunds policy: How does Printify handle refunds and returns?
Account credit and withdrawals
Refunds are issued as Printify account credit by default; credits can be withdrawn back to the original payment method from your Wallet.
If funds remain in your Printify balance, follow Printify’s withdrawal process or contact support for assistance.

Your consumer rights in South Africa
14-day cooling-off
South African consumer law generally grants a 14-day cooling-off right for online purchases, but there are important exceptions.
Custom-made or personalised goods (made-to-order) are typically excluded from the cooling-off right, and Printify’s model usually falls into that category.
Refunds and defects
Under local law consumers have rights for defective or not-as-described goods; Printify’s policy provides reprints or refunds for validated defects.
Printify issues refunds as account credit by default, which may differ from consumer expectations under South African law.
Recommended actions (South Africa)
- Document defects with photos, tracking and delivery dates as soon as you notice the issue.
- Contact Printify support within 30 days of delivery to request reprint or refund.
- If unresolved, consider contacting the National Consumer Commission or seeking advice under the Consumer Protection Act concerning custom-made goods.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Many users praise Printify for a user-friendly interface and fast set-up with marketplace integrations like Etsy.
Reviewers also highlight a wide product range and ease of launching designs quickly.

Negative feedback
Complaints commonly mention order cancellations, production delays and inconsistent quality control from print providers.
Some users report slow customer support responses and difficulties withdrawing funds held in account balances.
Documentation checklist
What to collect
- Order number, order date and product SKU or title.
- Delivery tracking, delivery date and recipient information.
- Photos of the damaged or incorrect item showing defects and packaging.
How to format evidence
- Use clear dated photos (close-ups and full item) and keep original packaging until the case is resolved.
- Keep a short timeline of communications with Printify or your store platform and any prior troubleshooting steps.
Common mistakes
Cancelling after production starts
Waiting too long is a frequent error: orders cannot usually be cancelled once production begins, so act immediately after placing an order.
Always check the order status in your Printify dashboard and cancel/edit before it moves to production.
Assuming full refunds for change of mind
Many buyers expect refunds for sizing or design changes; Printify’s policy excludes change-of-mind refunds for custom products.
Plan sizes and designs carefully and review product mockups before placing live orders.
Not keeping records
Failing to save order numbers, photos and delivery evidence makes defect claims hard to support and may delay resolution.
Maintain clear documentation from purchase through delivery for any potential dispute.

What to do immediately
