Cancellation Rocket Resume: Easy Method

What is Rocket Resume

Overview

Rocket Resume is an online, subscription-based service that helps users create and download professional resumes using templates and guided editing tools.

Who uses it

Typical users are job seekers who want a quick, template-driven resume builder with unlimited edits during an active subscription period.

How to cancel Rocket Resume

Cancel via web dashboard

• Sign in to your Rocket Resume account on the website.
• Open account settings or your account list in the dashboard.
• Click the "edit account" or the actions icon next to your account details to find cancellation or suspension options.

Cancel via support channels

• Use the in-site Help chat button to request cancellation and confirmation.
• Email support at [email protected] requesting cancellation and include your account details.
• Contact phone support if available and ask for a cancellation reference number.

What happens when you cancel

Access after cancellation

After cancellation, you typically lose access to subscription features at the end of the current paid period or immediately if you cancel within a trial.

Saved resumes and account data may remain accessible for a limited time; check your account settings for exact retention details.

Renewal and billing

Canceling stops future automatic renewals, but Rocket Resume generally does not provide prorated refunds for mid-cycle cancellations.

Keep confirmation of cancellation (email or chat reference) to dispute any future charges with your bank or the provider if necessary.

Will I get a refund?

14-day trial refunds

• Refunds are available if you cancel before the end of the 14-day trial period.
• This aligns with South Africa's cooling-off rights for distance transactions in many cases.

Paid subscription refunds

• Refunds after the trial are considered case-by-case (e.g., technical issues, duplicate charges).
• There is generally no prorated refund for cancelling mid-billing cycle; contact billing to request consideration.

Rocket Resume plans and pricing

Summary

No official South African Rand (ZAR) price list was available. The following reflects USD offers and typical behavior reported by users.

Notes

• Displayed USD prices may convert to different local amounts on your card statement; no guaranteed ZAR plans were found.
• Verify final charges on your payment method and contact billing for disputes.

Your consumer rights in South Africa

Key legal protections

Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), consumers have rights to fair and transparent pricing and clear disclosure of recurring payment terms before purchase.

The CPA gives a 'cooling-off' right to cancel distance transactions within 14 days in many cases.

Remedies and escalation

• If terms were unclear or cancellation was blocked, you can lodge a complaint with the National Consumer Commission (NCC).
• Consider a Section 56 complaint under the CPA for unfair contract terms or misleading pricing practices.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

• Many users report the site is easy to use and fast for building resumes.
• Some users noted support quickly resolved cancellation or billing issues after contact.

Negative feedback

• Users have reported unclear "free" offers that led to recurring charges without clear consent.
• Some customers describe difficulty cancelling and receiving poor responses from support, leading to unwanted charges.

Documentation checklist

What to gather before contacting support

• Account email and username used to sign up.
• Order number, transaction IDs, and billing dates from your statement.
• Screenshots of subscription pages, pricing, and any confirmation or error messages.

What to include in your cancellation request

• Clear request to cancel plus preferred effective date.
• Request for refund (if within trial or for a specific issue) and supporting evidence.
• Keep copies of all replies and a cancellation confirmation reference.

Common mistakes

Assuming "free" means no commitment

Some users sign up for a "free" resume generation without noticing a trial that auto-renews into a paid subscription.

Always read the payment and auto-renewal details before confirming.

Not saving cancellation proof

Failing to keep a cancellation confirmation can make it harder to dispute subsequent charges.

Always save emails, chat transcripts, or screenshots showing the cancellation and any reference numbers.

Comparative recap

Quick comparison highlights

This table summarizes key aspects to help you compare Rocket Resume's cancellation and refund posture at a glance.

How to use it

• Use the table to decide whether to try the service and how closely to monitor trial end dates.
• Keep documentation if you notice unclear pricing or unexpected renewals.

After cancelling

Confirm cancellation

Wait for a written confirmation email or chat reference that your subscription has been cancelled.

Keep a copy of that confirmation for at least several billing cycles in case of disputes.

If you are charged after cancelling

• Contact Rocket Resume support immediately with your cancellation proof and transaction details.
• If support does not resolve the issue, contact your bank to dispute the charge and consider lodging a complaint with the National Consumer Commission.
