cancellation InShot: Easy Method

What is InShot

Overview

InShot is a mobile video and photo editing app that provides trimming, filters, text, music and other creative tools for social media content. It offers free features plus paid upgrades such as subscriptions and one‑time packs.

Where it operates

InShot is distributed through official app stores (Apple App Store and Google Play Store) and manages subscriptions via the store used for purchase. The company website is https://www.inshot.com/.

How to cancel InShot

Cancel on iPhone (Apple App Store)

• Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → find "InShot".
• Tap the subscription and choose "Cancel Subscription" then confirm the cancellation.
• Alternatively open the App Store → tap your profile photo → Subscriptions → select "InShot" → Cancel.

Cancel on Android (Google Play)

• Open Google Play Store → tap profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• Select "InShot" and tap "Cancel subscription", then follow the prompts to confirm.
• If purchased via a third party, cancel through that vendor's subscription settings instead.

What happens when you cancel

Access after cancellation

When you cancel a recurring subscription it remains active until the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro features until that expiry date.

Data and purchases

One‑time purchases (packs, lifetime upgrade, remove ads) are permanent and do not auto‑renew. Your InShot account and created projects remain available unless you delete them.

Will I get a refund?

Store refund policies

Refunds for subscriptions and in‑app purchases are usually handled by the app store you used (Apple or Google). InShot does not manage store refunds directly for subscriptions.

How to request a refund

• Apple: request via reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
• Google Play: request via the Play Store order history or Google Play Help.
• If the store declines, you can contact your bank/card issuer or raise a complaint with UAE consumer authorities (see rights section).

Key UAE consumer protections

UAE consumer protection provides rights to clear product/service information and fair commercial practices. Digital purchases are subject to store terms and local consumer laws.

Steps if you have a dispute

• First contact the app store (Apple/Google) for refunds or disputes.
• If unresolved, you may file a complaint with the UAE Ministry of Economy's Consumer Protection sector via the official website: https://www.economy.gov.ae/.
• Keep receipts and transaction details; you may also contact your bank or card issuer for charge disputes.

Customer experiences

Positive feedback

Many users praise InShot for its intuitive editing tools, fast export, and useful preset packs. One‑time packs and lifetime upgrades are popular for creators who want ad‑free use.

Common complaints

Typical negative reports concern unexpected renewals, difficulty locating which account was used to subscribe, and frustration when seeking refunds via app stores.

Documentation checklist

Essential items to gather

• Order receipt or email confirmation from Apple/Google showing transaction ID and date.
• The Apple ID or Google account email used to subscribe and the device type (iPhone/Android).
• Screenshots of subscription entries in Settings or Play Store, and any correspondence with support.

Optional but helpful items

• Bank or card statement line showing the charge.
• App version and device OS version to aid support investigations.

Common mistakes

Canceling the app but not the subscription

Deleting the InShot app does not automatically cancel the subscription. You must cancel through the App Store or Google Play subscriptions menu.

Using the wrong account or store

Subscriptions are tied to the Apple ID or Google account used to purchase. Check all accounts if you don’t see the subscription, and ensure you cancel under the correct one.
