Cancellation Wodify: Easy Method
What is Wodify
Wodify is a gym and fitness business software platform that provides tools for class scheduling, membership management, payments processing, and reporting for studios and box owners. It operates as a software provider (SaaS) and as a payments facilitator through Wodify Payments in markets including Canada.
How to cancel Wodify
- Business (owner) subscription: The business owner must email support@wodify.com from the email address associated with the Wodify account, include the business name and subscription tier, and provide at least 30 days’ notice. See Wodify’s help article: Canceling Your Business’s Wodify Subscription.
- Admins & Managers (studio staff): Use Wodify Core to schedule a client membership cancellation or stop auto-renewal (People > Clients > Memberships & Payments) and set a custom end date. Note scheduling an end date does not prorate or refund already-paid invoices. See: Schedule a Membership Cancellation.
- Individual gym members (consumers): Wodify provides the software; contact your gym directly to cancel or place a hold. See: Cancelling or Placing a Hold on Your Membership.
- App-store purchases: Purchases made via Apple App Store or Google Play are governed by Apple/Google refund policies rather than Wodify’s Help Center entries.
- If you prefer mail, note Wodify’s cancellation process is email-first; if you must send registered mail, use company HQ as a precautionary address but confirm with support first: Wodify Technologies Ltd, 1100 Ludlow St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, United States.
What happens when you cancel
When a business owner cancels the Wodify subscription (with the required notice), the subscription will run until the end of the active billing or notice period and then stop auto-renewing. Admins who schedule a membership end date through Core will stop future billing for that membership, but scheduling an end date does not automatically prorate or refund amounts already paid.
Account data typically remains accessible through the account until the subscription ends; businesses should export any required client or financial records before the end date and contact support for data-deletion or retention options. For consumer gym memberships, cancellation and any access changes are controlled by the gym’s policies, not Wodify directly.
Will I get a refund?
Wodify supports invoice refunds for businesses via its "Refund an Invoice" functions; refunds can be issued at the line or header level and, when processed, funds typically return to the customer’s bank within about 5 - 7 business days. Refunds are handled case-by-case through invoice adjustments rather than through a publicly posted statutory 14‑day cooling-off policy.
For consumer (gym member) refunds, a refund depends on the gym’s contract and policies. Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those stores’ refund processes and timelines, not Wodify’s Help Center policies.

Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumer protections vary by province. For many B2C digital purchases a cooling-off period (commonly around 14 days) may apply, but such protections depend on the transaction, whether it’s B2C or B2B, and provincial rules. Some provinces impose specific rules for gym memberships (for example, Nova Scotia has short cooling-off provisions and contract limits).
Wodify acts as a software provider; whether you have a statutory right to cancel or obtain a refund will depend on your contract with the gym or the applicable provincial consumer-protection law. For province-specific guidance, consult your local consumer protection office such as Nova Scotia Consumer Rights or general resources on cancellation and cooling-off periods like consumer regulation summaries.
Customer experiences
Reviews of Wodify in Canada are mixed. Many users praise responsiveness of support, frequent product improvements, and overall usefulness for gym management; sources include GetApp, Capterra and Trustpilot where users highlight helpful customer service and attractive tiered pricing.
Negative reports include occasional app instability, bugs, slow support responses for some customers, and very poor reviews tied to separate storefronts (for example complaints on a site named "wodify.store"). Prospective customers should weigh both the positive feedback about product features and the negative reports about specific support or delivery experiences when choosing Wodify.
Documentation checklist
- Owner email address associated with the Wodify account
- Business name and current subscription tier
- Account ID or studio ID (if available) and invoices or proof of payment
- Desired cancellation end date (allow at least 30 days for owner-initiated cancellations)
- Screenshots of membership settings if scheduling a client cancellation in Core
- Any prior correspondence with Wodify or the gym about cancellation/refunds
Common mistakes
Common errors include emailing from an address not associated with the Wodify account (which can delay or invalidate a cancellation request), failing to provide the required 30 days’ notice for business subscriptions, and assuming that scheduling a membership end date will prorate or automatically refund already-paid invoices - Wodify’s scheduling does not prorate or refund past payments.
Other mistakes are contacting Wodify for consumer (gym member) cancellations instead of contacting the gym directly, or relying on Wodify to manage App Store/Google Play refunds - those are governed by the respective stores. Finally, many users forget to export financial or client data before the subscription ends.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Business owner email to Wodify support | Refunds possible via invoice adjustments; handled case-by-case | Medium (requires account verification and 30 days’ notice) |
| Admin/Manager schedule membership end in Wodify Core | No automatic proration or refund for already-paid invoices | Low (done in-app under People > Clients > Memberships & Payments) |
| Individual gym-member contact gym | Depends on gym’s contract and refund policy | Variable (depends on gym responsiveness and contract terms) |
| Apple App Store / Google Play purchase | Refunds follow Apple/Google rules, not Wodify Help Center | Variable (subject to store policies and timelines) |
After cancelling
After you submit a cancellation request, keep a copy of the sent email and any confirmation from Wodify. If you are a business, export client, financial and attendance data before the subscription ends and contact support if you need assistance with account closure or data deletion. For refund questions see Wodify’s refund article: Refund an Invoice.
If you are a gym member, follow your gym’s cancellation procedure and keep written confirmation. For app-store purchases request refunds through Apple or Google according to their processes. For unresolved disputes, contact your provincial consumer protection office or your payment provider.
