Cancellation Gmass: Easy Method
What is Gmass
GMass is an email marketing and mail-merge tool that integrates directly with Gmail to send campaigns, sequences, and personalized mass emails from a user’s Gmail account. It is offered as a web-based add-on that works inside Gmail and as subscriptions billed in US dollars; no official Canadian-dollar pricing is published.
How to cancel Gmass
- Open Gmail in a browser and start a new Compose window. In the “To” field enter cancel@gmass.co (do not click Gmail’s Send). If you are logged into the Gmail account that holds the subscription, leave the Subject blank; if you are cancelling a subscription on a different Gmail account, put that account’s email address in the Subject line. Click the red GMass button (not Gmail Send) to submit the cancellation request. You will retain access until the end of your current paid period. For the GMass cancellation blog see gmass.co.
What happens when you cancel
When you submit the cancellation request through Gmail as described above, GMass indicates you will retain access to the paid features until the end of the current billing period. The subscription will not renew after that period. Your account data - contacts, campaigns, reports - typically remains in your Gmail/GMass account but access to paid features stops when the paid period ends; review GMass documentation or export any data you need before that date.
Will I get a refund?
GMass states that refunds are rare and are evaluated case-by-case. Refunds may be considered in specific circumstances - for example, if a customer subscribed to the wrong account or the wrong plan type - but forgetting to cancel or not using the service is not usually considered grounds for a refund. If you believe you have exceptional circumstances, follow GMass’s refund request guidance on their site and provide supporting evidence such as receipts or transaction IDs; see their refund information at gmass.co.
Gmass plans and pricing

Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumers have protections that can apply to digital services, including rights related to unfair business practices and certain refund or cancellation expectations under provincial consumer protection frameworks. GMass does not appear to explicitly offer a 14‑day statutory right of cancellation or refund on its site; its stated policy is that refunds are rare and only for specific cases. That approach may not align with all Canadian regulatory expectations depending on how the service is classified and the specific provincial rules that apply. If you believe your rights under Canadian consumer protection law have been breached, you can seek guidance from your provincial consumer protection office or consider contacting your payment provider to explore chargeback options if appropriate.
Customer experiences
Reviews are mixed. On the positive side, Canadian reviewers on sites like Capterra and GetApp note that GMass is easy to set up, integrates smoothly with Gmail, offers strong deliverability and useful analytics, and is cost-effective for many campaigns. On the negative side, platforms such as Trustpilot include recurring complaints about opaque billing practices, difficulty contacting support, unexpected extra charges, continued billing after attempted cancellation, and refusal of refunds. Independent reviews also flag billing irregularities and sometimes slow support responses. Weigh these experiences and keep documentation if you proceed.
Documentation checklist
- Gmail account email used for the subscription, invoices or receipts, transaction IDs or payment method details, screenshots of billing/charges, screenshots of the cancellation email/GMass button press, plan name and billing period, any prior correspondence with GMass support.
Common mistakes
People commonly make procedural mistakes that delay or nullify a cancellation: composing the cancellation message from a different Gmail account without indicating the subscription account, pressing Gmail’s Send instead of the red GMass button (the cancellation must be submitted via the GMass button), not including the subscription account email in the Subject when cancelling from a different account, and assuming that cancelling GMass in Gmail automatically cancels App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Also, many users do not keep receipts or screenshots of cancellation attempts, which makes it harder to pursue refunds or dispute charges.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Gmail / Web cancellation (email to cancel@gmass.co via GMass button) | Rare, case-by-case | Low - Moderate |
| App Store / Google Play subscriptions | Handled by the store (follow Apple/Google refund processes) | Moderate - High (GMass provides no specific instructions) |
| Registered mail to corporate office | Case-by-case; slower | High |
After cancelling
After you cancel, save all confirmation screens, emails, and transaction records. If you need to request a refund, follow GMass’s refund guidance and provide clear evidence; see Request a Refund. For cancellation support, refer to the GMass support page at gmass.co/support and the cancellation blog at gmass.co/cancel-subscription. If you used an app-store subscription, also check Apple’s or Google’s subscription management and refund processes through their official support channels.
