Cancellation Picwish: Easy Method
What is Picwish
PicWish is an AI-driven image-editing service that offers background removal, enhancement, upscaling and related tools across web, desktop (Windows/Mac) and mobile apps. Consumers can buy subscriptions (auto-renewing) or one-time credit bundles to use the tools across supported platforms.
How to cancel Picwish
- On iOS (App Store): Open your Apple ID subscriptions in the App Store and cancel via Apple's subscription management. PicWish cannot cancel or refund App Store purchases via its website - follow Apple's cancellation flow. See PicWish FAQ: picwish.com/faq.
- On Android (Google Play): Open Google Play → Subscriptions and cancel the PicWish subscription there. PicWish directs Android users to Google Play for cancellation. See: picwish.com/faq.
- On Web/Desktop (site or Windows/Mac app): Contact PicWish Customer Support and request cancellation of auto-renewal. PicWish states cancellations are processed so the subscription will not renew; access typically continues until the end of the current billing cycle. See payment terms: picwish.com/picwish-payment-terms.
What happens when you cancel
If you cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google, the platform controls billing and will stop future renewals; you will typically retain access until the subscription period ends. For web/desktop subscriptions cancelled via PicWish support, cancellation is processed to prevent auto-renewal and access normally continues until the end of the paid billing cycle. PicWish may retain account metadata and usage records for service and support purposes in line with its policies.
Will I get a refund?
Refund entitlement depends on how you purchased PicWish and timing. For purchases made on PicWish web/Windows: PicWish offers a money-back guarantee - 7 days for monthly or annual Pro plans and 3 days for weekly Pro plans. Unused credits (web/Windows/API) can be refunded within 7 days at the unit purchase price for remaining unused credits. For App Store or Google Play purchases you must request a refund directly from Apple or Google; PicWish cannot process those refunds itself. If the platform denies a refund and you supply proof to PicWish, PicWish states it will refund 70% of the order as an exception. Note that PicWish’s time-limited guarantees (3 or 7 days) do not automatically displace any statutory consumer rights that may apply in Canada.
Picwish plans and pricing
| Plan | Price (CAD) | Period | Features |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5,000 one-time credits (lifetime) | C$82.99 | One-time | 5,000 credits valid across platforms (desktop, mobile, web) |
| 11,500 one-time credits (lifetime) | C$123.99 | One-time | 11,500 credits, lifetime use |
These Canadian-dollar prices were located through a Canadian reseller; the official PicWish site and the App Store usually list USD and will convert to CAD at checkout based on current exchange rates.
Your consumer rights in Canada
Canadian consumer protection varies by province. Some provinces apply a 14-day “cooling-off” period for certain online purchases, while others limit statutory cancellation rights for immediate digital content. PicWish’s advertised 7-day or 3-day refund windows may not fully replace any provincial statutory rights that give longer or different remedies. Purchases via Apple or Google are also subject to platform terms, but statutory rights under Canadian law may still apply where a service is defective or not delivered as advertised. If PicWish’s terms conflict with federal or provincial consumer protections, those statutory protections typically prevail. If you believe your statutory rights have been infringed (for example, you did not receive the promised service), you can raise the issue with provincial consumer protection authorities or seek a chargeback/dispute via your payment provider while preserving documentation.
Customer experiences
Public reviews are mixed. Many users praise PicWish for effective, user-friendly background removal and a suite of AI tools (enhancer, upscaler, colorizer), noting good speed and quality. On the other hand, negative reports include sudden increases in credit usage per task without clear notice, disappointing customer support response or difficulty obtaining refunds, and post-purchase limitations (watermarks, lower-resolution saves) that some users say pushed them toward upgrades. These accounts suggest good core functionality but uneven experience around pricing transparency and support.
Documentation checklist
- Order confirmation or receipt (email or platform order page).
- Screenshot of subscription status showing active/renewal or cancellation attempts.
- Payment proof (card statement or platform purchase history).
- Any correspondence with PicWish support and platform refund/denial notices (Apple/Google).
- Screenshots showing the issue (e.g., unexpected credit usage, watermark, low-resolution download).
Common mistakes
Users commonly try to cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription through PicWish web support; because Apple and Google control those subscriptions, PicWish cannot directly cancel or refund them. Another frequent error is assuming a full 14-day automatic cooling-off right when provincial rules may differ - relying solely on PicWish’s 3- or 7-day guarantee can leave gaps if a longer statutory right applies. People also sometimes fail to collect platform denial emails or screenshots, which are helpful if you later seek a partial refund from PicWish after a platform refusal. Finally, not checking credit-cost changes or feature limitations after an update can lead to unexpected extra charges.
Comparative recap
| Method | Refund | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| App Store (iOS) | Request via Apple. PicWish cannot refund directly; if Apple refuses and you provide proof, PicWish may refund 70%. | Medium - must follow Apple's refund flow and wait for decision. |
| Google Play (Android) | Request via Google Play. PicWish cannot refund directly; same 70% partial refund policy applies after platform denial if proof provided. | Medium - follow Google's refund process. |
| Web/Desktop (PicWish) | PicWish offers 7-day refund for monthly/annual Pro plans, 3 days for weekly Pro; unused credits refundable within 7 days at unit price. | Low to Medium - contact PicWish support; subject to PicWish policy and verification. |
After cancelling
After canceling, keep your order receipts, screenshots of cancellation confirmations, and any platform communications. If you need to request a refund from PicWish for a web/desktop purchase, start with the refund policy: picwish.com/refund-policy. For App Store/Google Play refunds, use Apple or Google’s refund request pages first; if refused, collect the denial notice and contact PicWish support to request consideration of the 70% refund exception. For cancellation steps and FAQ, see: picwish.com/faq. If you feel your statutory consumer rights in Canada were not respected, consider contacting your provincial consumer protection office or your payment card issuer for dispute options.
