Cancellation Textfree: Easy Method
What is Textfree
TextFree (by Pinger) is a mobile app and web service that provides a free phone number for sending and receiving SMS and calls over the internet. It offers a paid “TextFree Plus” subscription tier to remove ads, reserve a number, and add features such as spam filtering and shortcode support.
The service integrates with platform billing (Google Play for Android, App Store for iOS) when purchased on mobile; web purchases and account management are available through the TextFree website. Account deletion and subscription management are separate actions.
How to cancel Textfree
- Android (Google Play): Open the Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → select TextFree subscription → Cancel subscription. Note: uninstalling the app does not stop billing; cancel explicitly. If the app is removed from Google Play, future billing is typically cancelled automatically, but past charges are not refunded automatically.

- Account deletion: Deleting your TextFree account via the app or web does not cancel active platform subscriptions. Cancel the subscription separately through the store to avoid future charges.
What happens when you cancel
When you cancel a TextFree subscription through the relevant app store, your paid benefits (no ads, reserved number, any premium features) continue until the end of the current paid billing period. After the billing period ends your subscription will not renew and your account will revert to the free tier.
Canceling the subscription does not necessarily delete your TextFree account, messages, or phone number immediately. Deleting the account is a separate, permanent action that will remove your number and data; however, deletion alone does not stop store billing.
