What happens when you cancel

Access after cancellation

After cancelling a paid subscription you normally retain access until the end of the paid period. You will not be charged after the current billing cycle ends.

Data and account state

Content progress, profile details and basic account data typically remain tied to your account but access to premium features ends on expiry.

Will I get a refund?

Standard refund policy

ACG's stated policy for memberships outside the EU is no refunds on fees or charges, including partially used periods or bank charges.

Exceptions and special cases

• EU customers: entitled to a full refund within 14 days after membership begins (where EU rules apply).
• Lifetime subscriptions: many users reported termination (integration into Pluralsight) and no refunds; disputes and pro‑rata claims have been raised.
• If you believe the service failed to meet guarantees, see your NZ consumer rights below for remedies.

A Cloud Guru plans and pricing

Pricing table

Pricing notes

No explicit NZD pricing was found; amounts above are estimates using an approximate USD→NZD conversion (about 1 USD = 1.90 NZD). Local tax, exchange rates and Pluralsight billing may change final prices.

Your consumer rights in New Zealand

Relevant law

The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) provides consumer rights for services supplied to individuals in New Zealand. It covers reasonable care and skill and fitness for purpose.

Implications for A Cloud Guru users

• Businesses cannot contract out of CGA: 'no refunds' clauses may be void against consumers for failures of service.
• Remedies might include a refund, price reduction or correction if the service fails CGA guarantees, depending on the issue and whether your purchase was consumer (not business) use.

Customer experiences

Positive highlights

Many users praise hands‑on labs, cloud playgrounds and practical learning features. Verified reviews note useful learning tracks and concise video lessons for certification prep.

Common complaints

Negative feedback includes reports of outdated or duplicated content, declining quality after acquisition, and poor or slow customer support.

Documentation checklist

What to keep before cancelling

• Subscription confirmation email or invoice showing plan and billing date.
• Payment method receipt (bank/PayPal/Apple/Google) for reference if disputes arise.
• Screenshot of cancellation confirmation or the final “cancel” confirmation screen.

What to prepare for refund or dispute

• Dates of charges and a copy of the billing history from your account or store.
• Detailed notes on the issue (service failure, missing features, terminated lifetime plan).
• Any correspondence with ACG/Pluralsight support and store dispute messages.

Common mistakes

Subscribing via the wrong channel

Example: Cancelling on the website when you originally subscribed through Apple or Google will not stop store charges.

Always cancel through the same channel where the subscription was purchased.

Not saving proof of cancellation

Example: Relying solely on a verbal confirmation or forgetting to screenshot the cancellation page risks continued billing disputes.

Save confirmation emails or screenshots immediately after cancelling.
