Cancellation Lingoace: Easy Method
What is Lingoace
Service overview
LingoAce is an online language-learning platform that connects students with tutors for personalised lessons. It offers subscription-based classes, flexible scheduling, and multiple delivery channels (mobile apps and web).
Where it operates
LingoAce serves students in Singapore through its web portal and mobile apps. For Singapore-specific terms (for example small-class packages) LingoAce publishes local payment and refund rules on its site.
How to cancel Lingoace
Cancel via App Store (iOS)
- Open your Apple ID subscriptions in the App Store and cancel directly in Apple’s subscription settings.
- LingoAce cannot cancel App Store subscriptions for you or issue Apple refunds; any refund requests must be made through Apple’s channels.
- See LingoAce guidance for details: How to cancel and request a refund.
Cancel via Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store → Subscriptions and cancel your Lingo subscription there.
- If you bought via Google Play or Lingo web, contact LingoAce support within applicable windows; refunds for web/Google Play purchases may be available.
- Refer to LingoAce support notes: How to cancel and request a refund.
Cancel via Lingo web
- Sign in to Lingo web, go to Profile → Settings and follow the cancellation process there.
- For purchases made on Lingo web, request refunds within the published window (see below).
- See the web cancellation help page: How can I cancel my subscription?.
What happens when you cancel
Access and renewals
When you cancel a subscription it will not renew at the next billing date. Access typically continues until the end of the current paid period unless otherwise stated.
Data and account
Your account and lesson history are usually retained per LingoAce policies. If you need data removed or records archived, contact support and keep copies of important communications.
Will I get a refund?
General refund rules
For purchases on Lingo web or Google Play, LingoAce may offer a full refund if requested within 30 days of payment. Pro-rata refunds for unconsumed lesson credits are also supported under general rules.
Platform exceptions and processing times
- App Store (Apple) refunds must be requested from Apple; processing varies by Apple’s policies (examples: store credit ~48 hours; mobile billing up to 60 days; other methods up to 30 days). See: Apple-related guidance.
- Google Play refunds depend on Google’s process and payment method; Lingo web refunds (when issued by LingoAce) can take 5 - 10 business days to reach your bank, depending on your bank’s processing. See: Google Play & web refund guidance.
Singapore-specific exceptions
- For 1v4 small-class packages sold in Singapore, a full refund is allowed within the “Refund window”: from payment date until the 7th day after the first lesson, minus any offline gifting cost. See the local payment agreement: SG small-class payment agreement.
- Instalment purchases generally have no refund unless Schedule A to the agreement says otherwise. See the agreement above for details.
Pro-rata calculation and fees
For unconsumed lesson credits, LingoAce supports pro-rata refunds calculated as (total paid ÷ total lessons) × unconsumed lessons, less a 3% administration charge.
Credit bonuses are forfeited. Refunds are typically credited within seven days to your bank account once approved; operations details are published by LingoAce: Refund service information.
Lingoace plans and pricing
Where to check prices
Pricing and plan details change frequently. Always check the official LingoAce Singapore site for current offers and package details before purchasing.
Do not rely on third-party quotes
This guide does not list prices. Use the official site to confirm fees, instalment terms, and promotional conditions before you buy.
Your consumer rights in Singapore
Statutory cooling-off and applicability
Under Singapore law, certain contracts (for example direct-sales and timeshare) may have a statutory cooling-off period, but digital subscription education services generally do not fall under those categories.
Rely on published company policies
Because statutory cooling-off typically does not apply to online subscriptions, Singapore consumers should rely on LingoAce’s own published refund and cancellation policies (for example the 30-day or 7-day windows) rather than expecting an automatic legal right to cancel.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Many reviewers praise LingoAce for engaging 1-to-1 lessons, patient teachers, noticeable improvements in children’s language skills, and responsive customer service. See user reviews on Trustpilot: LingoAce on Trustpilot.
Reported issues
Some customers report problems such as unwanted marketing calls, customer-support delays, scheduling glitches, or occasional platform issues. Independent blog reviews also note variability in lesson experience: Cheekiemonkie review.
Documentation checklist
What to prepare before you request cancellation
- Order or payment confirmation (email or receipt).
- Account username or registered email used for LingoAce.
- Lesson history and proof of unconsumed lessons (screenshots if needed).
What to provide for refunds
- Bank account details for refund (as requested by support) or payment provider reference for App/Google/Apple refunds.
- Any communication logs with support, and screenshots of billing dates to show timing within refund windows.
Common mistakes
Cancelling in the wrong place
Users sometimes cancel their account in the web portal but forget to cancel the App Store or Google Play subscription. This can cause unexpected renewals and charges.
Missing the refund window or proof
Expecting a refund after the published window (for example after 30 days or after the 7th day post-first-lesson for SG small-class) often leads to refusal. Keep receipts and timestamps to prove eligibility.
