Cancellation Genomelink: Easy Method
What is Genomelink
Service overview
Genomelink is a consumer genetics service that uses your DNA data to generate trait reports and personalised insights for health, nutrition, fitness and ancestry.
The service offers free basic traits and paid options for unlimited trait access or individual reports sold à la carte.
What it provides
Reports include lifestyle and ancestry analyses derived from uploaded DNA data or linked test results from consumer labs.
Genomelink provides account tools to manage data, subscriptions, and to delete DNA information if you choose.
How to cancel Genomelink
Cancel via the Genomelink website
- Log into your Genomelink account on the site.
- Go to the "PLANS" tab or your profile page and click the "CANCEL" button.
- Cancellation on the website takes effect immediately and access to an Unlimited plan ends the same day.
- See Genomelink help for details: Genomelink Help / FAQ.
Cancel via app stores or email
- Apple App Store subscriptions must be cancelled through your Apple ID subscription settings; Apple controls billing and refunds.
- Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled from Google Play > Subscriptions on Android or the web; Google controls billing and refunds.
- You may also cancel by emailing Genomelink with account and subscription details (see support contact below).
What happens when you cancel
Access and renewals
When you cancel a paid subscription on the Genomelink website, cancellation is effective immediately.
Access to Unlimited plan benefits ends the same day you cancel; auto-renewal will not occur after cancellation.
Data and account handling
You can delete your DNA data or close your account from your profile; deletions are permanent and cannot be undone.
For full details on data handling and account closure, consult Genomelink's terms and FAQ: Terms of Use.
Will I get a refund?
Standard refund policy
Genomelink's standard policy states that all subscription and à la carte purchases are final and non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
Refunds are therefore not guaranteed under the general policy and depend on the exceptions below.
Exceptions and how to request
- 24-hour full refund: If you cancel within 24 hours of subscribing, you may be eligible for a full refund - contact support promptly.
- First-time annual Unlimited plan: If cancelled within 30 days of the start date, Genomelink will automatically process a refund within 5 - 10 working days.
- If your purchase was billed through Apple or Google, refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple or Google respectively.

Your consumer rights in Singapore
Contract terms and arbitration
Genomelink's Terms of Use include an arbitration clause and class action waiver; legal disputes are generally subject to binding arbitration per their terms.
Review the Terms of Use to understand any agreement to arbitration and how it may affect dispute options: Terms of Use.
Practical rights and steps in Singapore
In Singapore you retain practical consumer options such as asking for clear contract terms, disputing unauthorised charges with your card issuer, and seeking advice from consumer bodies.
If you believe you were mischarged or misled, keep records, contact Genomelink support, and consider contacting local consumer protection organisations such as the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE).
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
Some long-term customers report satisfaction with the breadth of traits and reports and continue subscriptions for multiple years.
Other users value the free trait offerings and the ability to get many insights from uploaded DNA data.
Issues reported
Negative feedback includes difficulties contacting customer service, unexpected charges, and concerns about ancestry accuracy for some populations, including Asian ancestry.
Reviewers also report occasional account access or data recognition problems and mixed experiences obtaining refunds.
Documentation checklist
What to include when cancelling
- Your full name and Genomelink account email address.
- Subscription details (plan name, billing date, transaction ID if available).
- Clear request to cancel and, if desired, to delete DNA data or close your account.
Records to keep for disputes
- Screenshots of subscription pages, cancellation confirmation, and billing receipts.
- Copies of email correspondence with Genomelink support and any refund confirmations.
- Bank or card statements showing the charge if you plan to dispute with your issuer.
Common mistakes
Assuming cancellation via website affects app-store billing
Example: Cancelling on the Genomelink website does not cancel subscriptions billed through Apple or Google - those must be cancelled through the respective app store.
Failure to cancel at the store level can result in continued charges even after you cancelled on the site.
Missing time-sensitive refund windows
Example: Expecting a refund after 24 hours or beyond the 30-day first-time annual window can lead to disappointment; these exceptions are limited and time-sensitive.
Always contact support immediately if you believe you qualify for a refund under the stated exceptions.
Comparative recap
Quick comparison of plans and cancellation
The table below summarises price, billing period, cancellation route and typical refund eligibility for each offering.
How to use this table

| Unlimited Plan (Monthly) | S$17.72 | monthly | Genomelink site or app store (where billed) | Generally non-refundable; 24-hour exception may apply |
| Unlimited Plan (Annual) | S$121.54 | annual | Genomelink site or app store (where billed) | First-time annual: refund if cancelled within 30 days (processed 5 - 10 working days) |
| Standalone Reports | S$30.38 - S$87.35 | One-time | Purchase-specific cancellation/contact support | Generally non-refundable unless specified |
