Cancellation Splice: Easy Method
What is Splice
Overview
Splice is a subscription-based music production platform that provides a large library of samples, loops, presets and plugin access for creators.
It integrates with DAWs, offers sample syncing and a rent-to-own model for plugins, and bills on a recurring basis.
Core features
Key features include searchable sample libraries, monthly credits, Bridge plugin integration, and optional instrument/plugin access.
Plans and detailed features are listed on Splice’s official plans page.
How to cancel Splice
App Store (iOS)
- Open your Apple device Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions and cancel the Splice subscription there.
- If you subscribed via the App Store, Apple controls cancellations and Splice cannot cancel on your behalf; cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.
Google Play (Android)
- Open the Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions, find Splice and cancel following Google’s process.
- Again, cancel at least 24 hours in advance to avoid an unwanted renewal charge.
Web / In-app alternative payment
- For iOS subscriptions using an alternative in-app payment: open the Splice app, tap Menu → Manage Subscription → Unsubscribe.
- For Web purchases: sign in at your Splice account page and click the plan’s cancel button. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.
What happens when you cancel
Access to content
After cancellation, your paid access continues until the end of the current billing period.
You can still download and use content that was already available to you during that period.
Credits, renewals and expiry
Unused monthly credits remain accessible until the end of the billing cycle and are subject to expiry rules.
Credits expire 28 days after your final billing unless you pause or resubscribe within that timeframe.
Account data and reactivation
Your account and library items persist; you can reactivate by subscribing again and may regain access depending on the plan and credit rules.
Specific plugin ownership or rent-to-own progress may remain tied to your account - verify details before cancelling.
Will I get a refund?
General refund policy
There is no blanket 14-day statutory refund right globally; the EU/UK cooling-off rules do not apply to Singapore users in the same way.
Refunds are handled differently by purchase channel and plan type.
Web subscription refunds and windows
- Web (site checkout) weekly and monthly plans: refunds may be requested within 20 days of charge for qualifying cases.
- Web yearly plans: refund requests may be considered within 60 days of charge in certain circumstances.
- Splice offers a Web Money-Back Guarantee for initial site purchases: you may request a refund within 30 days if unsatisfied; this applies only to the initial purchase, not renewals or app-store purchases.
App Store / Google Play purchases
Purchases made through Apple or Google must use those platforms’ refund processes; Splice does not process App Store refunds directly.
Contact Apple or Google support for refunds on purchases billed through their stores.

Billing notes
Prices are based on Splice’s USD list prices as of Feb 2026; Splice charges in USD and actual SGD billed depends on exchange rates and card fees.
No official SGD-listed prices are shown on Splice’s site or App Store for Singapore; expect conversion differences from the USD amounts above.
Your consumer rights in Singapore
Statutory vs discretionary rights
Singapore does not provide the EU/UK-style automatic 14-day cooling-off refund right for online digital subscriptions in the same manner.
Splice’s own Money-Back Guarantee for web purchases is a discretionary commercial policy, not a statutory right.
Platform and marketplace protections
If you purchased through Apple or Google, platform refund procedures and consumer protections apply via those providers.
You may also seek remedies under Singapore consumer protection laws via the relevant channels, but platform rules often govern app-store purchases.
Customer experiences
Positive feedback
- Users praise the extensive sample library, intuitive interface, useful search and filtering, and rent-to-own plugin model.
- Recent reviews note helpful AI-assist features, smooth DAW syncing, and high-quality sample selection.
Negative feedback
- Common complaints include app/desktop instability (freezing, download failures) and buggy interface behavior.
- Users also report frustration about unused credits being lost after cancellation unless resubscribed or paused within 28 days, along with pricing and tagging criticisms.
Documentation checklist
What to gather before contacting support
- Account email and username used for Splice.
- Order or invoice number, date of charge, and payment method details (last 4 digits).
- Screenshot(s) of the billing transaction or subscription page showing the charge.
How to submit evidence
- If contacting Splice for a web refund, include clear timestamps, reason for refund, and the initial purchase confirmation.
- For App Store/Google Play issues, prepare the platform transaction ID and submit via Apple or Google support as they control those refunds.
Common mistakes
Cancelling in the wrong place
Many users cancel the Splice app but forget to cancel the App Store or Google Play subscription; the platform that billed you must be cancelled there.
Double-check which provider charged the card before attempting cancellation.
Expecting immediate refunds or keeping credits
Expecting an immediate refund after cancelling is a common mistake - refund windows vary and app-store purchases require platform refund requests.
Also, unused credits typically expire 28 days after final billing unless you resume service - plan your cancellation timing accordingly.

After cancelling
Immediate next steps
- Confirm cancellation via email or your account page and note the end date of your billing cycle.
- Download any content you need before access ends and track unused credits and their 28-day expiry after your final billing.
